The kind of love we accept from others...

From the movie, Perks of being a wallflower... there was this line... and they mentioned that we only accept the love we think we deserve. So if we feel we do not deserve a better love.. we resolve ourselves to the kind of love that we have... or those that we're shown with and think that is only what we deserve. Hence we do not put or give value to ourselves more... because other people will and can love us more than those whom we are with... and yet even if we know we are not happy or we deserve more... we think or we feel no one is going to love us like that of what we want.
Do you think this is the case for most of us, when it comes to love?
