At the time of an interview I have been asked to tell about myself. Is it right to ask someone "TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF". If so how shall I start to introduce myself. Shall I start like the following I am..... (name) I am coming from ..(STATE) I have completed (degree) .MY FATHER WAS EXPIRED AND my mother is a housewife. I have 5 years of experience in ,.. Is the above statements are correct to say in an interview. Else, any other details or grammar needed to improve . Also, let me know the sites dealing with this

Thank u for posting this discussion. Well yes the way u have started off in the discussion is absolutely correct. i would like u to add some more things like your percentage at school and college, what u have learned from your mother and father, your achievements and your strengths and weaknesses. i am sure it will make your intro a complete one. What say?

thanks for your reply. However, I would feel fine if a native ENGLISH speaker tells us about this in depth. I need a complete example of a person who introduces himself to others .
