in our place we are too lucky that somehow we have abundance of water for consumption. we can have it even we need not to pay to any water station monthly for connection of water services. this abundance, which i think being abused because used water that could be recycled is being easily poured to the ground. i hate the concept of wasting it even it can be still use to flower the plants, for toilet cleaning purposes, can be used to wash the rugs, clean the cemented path and etc. i remember so well when i chastised my boyfriend for throwing the water even if pail of it was just being thrown with dirts. at least, he can do the following thing as i mentioned above if thus cannot be used for his bath. i cannot blame him because if we have plenty of water in us, well, they are more lucky because the water in their place is much plenty compared to what we have. they will just put a tube few feet into the ground, the water will flow without ending. he learned that thing from me to conserve as possibly as he can. i told him, how long would it be like that? what if the water will drained for some reasons? nobody can tell what the future would bring if water scarcity is being discussed upon. just wanted to conserve water because that thing is the right one to do. what you usually do to conserve water. share please...

yes agree with you. even we have this element abundantly, still we are required to conserve it no matter the costs were. we do not know what the future would bring to us when scarcity of water would hit us. thanks :O)

Many countries need to save water. We never know when water will end. I know here in Mexico most our water is bought from the usa, and they need to save there as well.

We conserve not just water but also energy. I am very thrift in terms of household needs too. Example of water conservation that we do at home is when we wash clothes. I don't throw it. Instead, I put it in a container and use it to clean our restroom and mop floors. Ofcourse that has to go right away for it will be easily attract mosquitos. When brushing teeth, insted of running water in the faucet, I tell my kids to use glass instead. We don't use shower too. We have a big containera nd use a dipper to take a bath There are lots of ways to conserve. You are right, we never know when it will just scarce.

very true. we should try to conserve what we need to conserve. life is getting harder and would say, if we have this, others may do not have water/energy abundance in their place. for me doing conservation is getting along with those people who scarcely have this kind of necessity in life. so i hope everyone would understand the importance of this elements in this life for the future usages. thanks :)

We use glass when brushing our teeth instead of just letting the faucet run. The water that we have used in washing our clothes are being used in cleaning the toilet and our garage.

that is good thing to do. by that, you can only use exact amount of water for if using the flowing faucet while brushing your teeth, many amount of it will just flow into the lavatory and be wasted. hope all are doing the same thing. thanks

I also haven't experienced scarcity of water, but I have seen and watched a lot of daily life scenes in the metro to realize how a lot of families do not have the luxury of having a clean, running water. I see them lined up in the lone pump at the block, the water isn't even fit for consumption but they have no choice. Still in programs and documentaries are far-flung provinces with literally no water source at all. Just seeing these images is enough eye opener. I make sure that our faucets dont have leaks and running water in faucets are turned off if not in use.

oh yes, right at that. we have a neighboring village who suffered the same problem like this water scarcity. they need to fetch water from their nearby village too who have abundance of water which flows freely. i just cannot imagine how they manage to live that kind of living without water anytime they going to need it the most. you know what is the importance of water in our daily lives. so for us, we can tell we are lucky enough that we have abundance of water in our place. so as to commend that we must observe water conservation to sympathize with others. thanks for joining in this discussion :)

yes, do not waste it.. there are lots of ways how to conserve water. for me if i brush my teeth, i used to put the water in the glass. this one would not allow you to be extravagant in using water as it flows freely on the lavatory and be wasted. yes, it could be used in watering the plants as well. we should not waste water for any cause. we do not know how and when does scarcity of it strikes to us. let us just be glad we have waters in our house. that is why in return, help conserve water at any instance.. thanks
