I have used both type of peers but i think Laptops are always best choice.I hate a pile of cables around plus space is another issue.Laptops are best in terms of space and volume. They aren't very heavy you can lift them anywhere. Now I want to buy one for my home.In office I am using Del ,which one is both cost effective and efficient with more features.Waiting your suggestion Mylotters:

Hi Faisalonline, A laptop has its advantages viz portable, light, convenient and neat (free from cable clutter). The best thing in my opinion about laptop is its portability. One can almost work anywhere even in the bathroom although I don't recommend that. One could bring it out to cafes, park even shopping mall to catch up with work or whatever. However as for me I prefer to work on a desktop as I much prefer a large screen at least 19" and above. So a laptop is out for me as the largest laptop screen is around 17" and they cost a bomb. So if you're alright with a smaller size screen then a laptop computer should suit you fine. Have a nice day.

Laptops are easier to take with you but they are not the most up to date computers there are and more expensive. It also depends for what you need your computer. If it's for animating a desktop is way better. But I do agree about the cables, although you don't need that much cables anymore at all. Printer can be wifi plus bluetooth, internet connection is possible with a "stick" instead of cables, to if it comes to that a lot has changed.

Hi Faisal, I think there are many good ones out there, HP, Lenovo, Dell, these are some of the good ones. I recently bought a Lenovo and I am very glad i bought it because at the price I got the best deal from Lenovo. If you are not into graphics intensive and heavy duty applications then you might want to try an ultrabooks, but they are costly and not good for playing games or editing media. My previous laptop was an HP, and they make quite nice laptops too and most of my friends buy dell, but i always avoid it don't know why. My laptop has a metal finish just the way I like it oh I forgot ASUS is amazing too, I think they are the best when it comes to specifications at the price, they are very reasonably priced and they have good build quality too, so ASUS is my recommendation! If you like macs then you could try macbook pros too. But if you are looking for the best bargain you need nothing more than Asus, they are just awesome, come in metal finish and great specifications.

I have used Acer Aspire one notebook for home. It works just fine, is portable and hence, easy to carry around while travel. Mac/lenovo/HP..all seem to work fine. Laptops are really the best choice. If you have a data plan, well, you don't need to bother with the search for free wifi either. you can be online wherever you go.

From experience, I wouldn't recommend a Dell product to anyone. I have never had a good experience with 1 piece of Dell equipment. You can never go wrong with HP. If your worried about cables, there are all-in-one desktop computers. All they consist of is a monitor and power cable and maybe a cable running to your keyboard. You can find one for the same price of a laptop.
