Painting with Catsup

I was using one of those small packets of ketchup/catsup today to put on my cheeseburger that I microwaved for dinner, and somehow the tear I put in it made the stuff squirt ketchup all over my half way decent but old blue and white striped shirt that I love to wear when I tried to put it on my burger instead. Yuck. Have you ever done something similar? Did you get the mess out of it? Luckily it was laundry tonight so I threw it in and it all came out. I did rinse some of it out first before I put it in the wash with a small amount of dish soap and cold water right away. Do you use any special cleaners to get that kind of thing out of your clothes? What is the worst stain to get out and how did it come out in the wash/laundry?
