Do You Believe In Immortality?

When I was a kid, I always think that I can be immortal. This is like a dream but no one can have immortality unless you're God. Even we try to make our life longer by being a vegetarian and eat a lot of grains, we will never reach the age of 200. While I was surfing the net, I accidentally googled immortal creatures on earth. As I read the article, it convinced me that immortality is present in our planet. You're asking for the name? It's medusa! I'm not kidding it's a jelly fish, TURRITOPSIS NUTRICULA, they also call it medusa. It has the ability to revert life cycle. Just read online for more info. What if human beings can revert life cycle too? Well, nobody will believe in God if that happens.

Hi there Ellyse, I remembered the movie "In Time" starring Justine Timberlake. It was really a good movie for me. In there, if you are rich, you can live forever but that would be if you will take care of yourself. And you will be forever 25 years old physically. Anyways, you can search that up as well. Anyways, I don't believe in immortality. We are all destined to die and I want to die as well....I think if will be alive it will just lead you to too much sufferings. Happy Mylotting!

I don't know that can human be a immortal or not. But in our Hindu mythology it is said that by meditation and yoga human can stay immortal but for that pure air is needed. Thats why in ancient periods there were few humans who lived much more than a Tortoise. But how much it is true i don't know.

As for now, humans can be vegetarians and attend yoga classes to stay healthy and have a longer life. But at least, one creature in this world has the ability of being immortal.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well glad to hear about that jelly fish, of course it would have been great if life would have been immortal for all of us. It would be great if that happens ever but u are absolutely right, people after attaining immortality will no longer have faith on God and would start thinking themselves as God instead. What say?

As for me, if I'm immortal, I would never think there's God who created me. I could live as long as I want. But that isn't good for humanity. If we are all immortal, this planet will not be enough for all of us.

Hi, It is very interesting information that the jelly fish medusa has the ability to revert the life cycle. If man has this ability then there is no need of doctor. If the man is immortal the planet earth would not have enough place for human being to live. We have to go for the another planet.

You are right. People won't have to go to hospitals and we won't think about illnesses. Medical industry will never be known to man. Lastly, you are right, we have to travel a long way to look for another planet.

I've read about that jellyfish too and I find it amazing.. :D Scientists have been researching on how to use it's properties for medicinal purposes and cure life-threatening diseases.. :) I never thought of being immortal as a kid though... I read in a book before that gods envy mortals because we treat each day like our last and marvel at every new experience while they have seen everything... I guess mortality has it's perks too. :D

I agree, if we are all immortal from birth. Nobody will age, and students might not as well attend their classes. Being mortal, well, we have to think for our future, our family's future. We have to enjoy every second of our life while we live.
