IBPS is the organisation that is conducting tests for Bank recruitments in India. It conducted a test in 2011 for clerks. It also conducted two tests for Probationary officers, Nearly one lakh people will be recruited per year and more than this number. There is job security and terms and conditions like housing loan, car loan are good and hence many people are aspiring to join banks nowadays. Even engineers are joining as bank clerks because they do not get other employment. Nearly 50 lakh people are expected to apply. This is test is to be made online. In my view this will affect the candidates from rural areas. many of them do not have sufficient exposure to computer, internet. this may affect their chances. I am making this post so that you can tell some of your relatives who have completed graduation and is looking for employment to apply. This is the link of that advertisement: http://www.ibps.in/career_pdf/CWE_Clerical_II_Ad.pdf (not a referral) I am giving the link because you can send it to your relative for applying. What is your view on this--whether the exam becoming online will be helpful for rural candidates? Only in a few advanced countries such tests are conducted online and it is early for India to adopt this in my view. pl. give your views.

oh that's good, i think that's not a problem with rural people either, because now a days everyone including rural people are learning computer , we can find internet centers even at villages, so it wont be a problem. problem is with the power cut, if the power goes suddenly while writing exam ,then what will happen? lol

prashu thanks for the response. please forward the link to your friends. If you are eligible you can also apply. though you say it is not a problem for rural people -- i have my reservations -- many commerce, bba, bsc students do not study about computer well in colleges or outside.

yes of course , i will, and i am eligible for the exam , last Sunday (7th) i attended the exam , but couldn't do well as per my calculations, that is when my friend and i saw the accident in the afternoon while returning home after exam, which i mentioned in my other discussion. oh i see, so the rural people doesn't have the facilities, then students need to brush up their skills in this regard.
