There are alot of misinterpreted and perceptions about tithing. I wanted to share what the true meaning to the scripture Malachi 3:9-10. Bring ye all the tithes into the store house that i may pour you out a blessing that you will have no room to receive. In alot of churches, tithing is considered to be money. but what the scripture shows is that it has nothing to do with money. It's been taught in churches that if you tithe 10% of your income, you will be blessed. That is also wrong. The church has been manipulating the people into giving. In the old testament, there was no such thing as money. the sacrificing of animals was used, sheckles and food. This scripture is in reference to the farmers. The storehouse represents a pantry. God told the farmers that if they brought food into the pantries, or the storehouse, he would bless them so much till they have no room to receive. There is no mention of giving 10T% of your income in the old or the new testament. Please study for yourself and let God teach you. I already know many will not receive what is said here, but its not me telling you, its God. God is trying to bring truth to his word.

It's also more blessed to give than to receive. Also, it shows others that you trust God with your money and that you depend on Him rather than on money for security.

It is a blessing to give than to receive, Its a blessing when you giving for the right reasons, because God led you to do it, You get blessed for your obedience, and your faithfulness not because of tithing which is what churches teach.

In our church, we give tithes because it is what we believe. I can't give you the full reason now but it is our joy to give. We're not forced to give and its up to us if we will give. You might be totally correct about that but I believe there's nothing wrong in basing our church offerings with tithing. 2 Corinthians 9:7 states that God loves a cheerful giver, so it's voluntary and this is what we follow. I myself don't believe that its required. It's good that you've observed that there are many religious businessmen nowadays who guilt induce people regarding tithing. They're after their money, and some even say that you have to buy your salvation with your money. Others deceive people that God will bless them with material prosperity if they give more money. How unfortunate and these events convince me that Jesus Christ is coming very soon. I remember what Benny Hinn said in one of his sermons. He said something like this: "Those who don't tithe/give money money to the church has a nature of the devil." It's up for people to decide. I pray they'll make the right decision. God bless!

first off, tithing is not biblical, second benny hinn is wrong. people who do not tithe does not mean they have a nature of the devil. He along with other preachers that want to manipulate the scriptures to suite themselves are the reason why there are people that feel threatened to give money. he need to repent for that. its not what i observed but its what God has taught me. As i stated above, yes God loves a cheerful giver. Give according to how God leads you, not man. If youre doing it because of what somebody told you to, it doesnt count. Its's not out of your heart. If you say you dont believe that tithing is required, why do you do it. you are saying in your first sentence you believe it. Now i understand more why i dont listen to Benny Hinn.

Why do I do tithing? It's because that's the way how I respond with 2 Cor. 9:7. Not all Christians have the same way of cheerful giving. Tithe means 10% anyway and it's my joy to give tithes, not because that's what men told me but because it's what I love to do. I give offerings because I love the Lord, not because I believe it to be compulsory. I even give more that 10% of my income to support the church and the missionaries, because I believe that there are thousands of souls out there who need Jesus Christ. It may seem that I'm the only one in the church who don't believe that tithing is required, and there are times that I attempted to ask the pastor about what makes him (and other church members) believe that tithing is Biblical. He did preach about tithing, but I'm not contented with the Biblical support that he gave. Regarding my first sentence, please exclude me there (I might have used the word "we" in order to point out the whole church members). All I can say about Benny Hinn is Matthew 7:15.

Yes God does love a cheerful giver. People ought to give because God led them to give, not because someone is asking people to give a certain amount. Everything should be led by God. If God told you to do it, then do it.
