Hello guys. This morning my dog has been discharged from a veterinary hospital because he had been diagnosed to has U. T. I( urinary track infection) that is why he is having a fever because of the infection. There has been discharged medications and I pay attention to much for all the instructions given by the veterinarian. I bought all the medicines and went home. As I am going to give the first dose this morning, I stared at the medication, and began to wonder, "how am I suppose to give this meds to my dog, it was in tablet form.. wahhhhh.... Anyone here knows how? Or somehow have an idea how to introduce the medicine, I just powderized the tablet by mortar and pestle and give it with water mixed. Does the patency of medicines be affected by that? I guess I just have to come by at the hospital and asked the vet there. Perhaps next week. I just wished what I am doing is still alright for my dog.:(

Hi there! You most probably did the right thing. Dissolving powdered medicines in water and give that water to the dog is the correct way. Dogs can not gulp medicines like humans (lol). May be you could powder the medicine and dissolve/mix the same in his food. I do not think it will effect the potency of the medicines as such. Wish him speedy recovery.

Hi, I don't have any pet. But I think what you have done is right. Hi, I don't have any pet.You are so caring for your dog like a family member. But I think what you have done is correct. How can you give the tablet to dog? But you are doing right to your dog, don't worry.
