Has life ever threw you a curve ball but turned out it's a blessing in disguise?

Life's "Curve ball": One time I lost my wallet when I was commuting from my school to my house. That wallet contained a lot of stuff and not just money. It included IDs, various cards, and pictures. Blessing in disguise: Someone returned *that* wallet. The person didn't want a reward for returning it. He soon became my friend and it turned out that he's a lawyer AND a doctor. I now have someone to talk to when I have problems regarding the law or my health. YOUR TURN.

When I was 19 years old, I was pregnant for the first time. I ended up losing my son a couple months later. This is something that I grieved about for some time. However, it turned out that just a couple months after my due date would have been, I broke up with my son's father, so I would have been raising my son by myself (his father was several years younger than me). So, it was a blessing in disguise because I was able to continue my education instead of having to drop out of school to raise my son. He would be 12 years old now.

I had some health problems two years ago and they made me have to seriously start thinking about the way that I was living my life. I was very overweight so I thought that the first thing that I would do would be to try and get a little bit of weight lost. I have now managed to lose over 115 pounds and it has made me feel much better about absolutely everything that has happened in my life. I don't want to say that I am glad about what happened, but I do know that if it hadn't happened I wouldn't be the person who I am today.
