This lady says people on food stamps who aren't trying to make it on their own are stealing from her. Do you agree? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP7JC4gu4OI&feature=related

Hello clrum. Yes I agree with her. Obama's administration USDA has been encouraging people to have food stamp parties. There is a need for this kind of assistance for some people. those too old to get a job and work, those that are disabled and can't work. I believe that social services is there for a hand up not a hand out. I have had to have help back in the early days with my children. I wasn't on the assistance very long. In fact when i got a divorce I was working. so I applied for food stamps but found out they would cost me more than I was already spending on food so turned them down. We were eating pretty good too at that time. I think that when a person goes onto food stamps they should take a cooking, grocery shopping, and nutrition classes.

Yes, I agree completely. Food stamps are great for those who really need them because of disability or temporary need, but they can also hold people back from trying a little harder to get educated and try for a good job. Your idea about the cooking, grocery shopping and nutrition classes is a great one, too.
