Latest rumors doing round is that Ashley Cole would be quitting Chelsea at the end of the season for a lucrative move to Real Madrid or PSG. If the rumors are to be believed his agent is believed to start talks with these clubs in January for a summer move to one of these clubs. What are you views on this move? Would this be a good one for Cole? Is it back to being Cashley Hole again? Cheers! Ram

the possibility is opened.. Ashley cole maybe needs a challenge and he knows the personality of Jose Mourinho Jose Mourinho wants one of the best full back..his first choice is Maicon, but Maicon had choosen Manchester City and the second is Ashley Cole.. and maybe it`s the right time too for Cole and Mourinho

But the question is whether Mourinho will remain in Real Madrid next season. I am not so sure of that. Cheers! Ram

if ashley cole moves to real madrid in january transfer, mourinho will stay in madrid minimal until the end of this season iam not sure that they want to change the coach which can give extra power to Madrid competing with barcelona i feel madrid management try to convince mourinho stay longer in madrid home..now it depends on mourinho

When coaches are being sacked freely by clubs all over Europe, it is only Mourinho that sacks the clubs freely. Awesome!

hello, this is really a big shock to chelsea because they are really at shortage of world class players this season after drogba left at the end of last season. now they really need to buy new good players at the january transfer season and make their team more strong. they are now at a very good position this season and are really the favorites to win the title this season. but things may change during the curse of time, so they should not take it lightly and should really concentrate on making their team more strong.

I think this is a problem of their doing only, because they do not offer players 30 or above more than 1 year contract. So these players get insecure and move on. Cheers! Ram

Yes, they are doing very well at this moment. But I am not very sure they will be able to sustain it for the whole season. I think they are still very suspect at the back. Cheers! Ram

Fernando Torres: We are good enough for the title - Fernando Torres: We are good enough for the title and the ECL.
@akash009 I don't feel that Chelsea is very short of world-class players at the moment as they have Petr Cech, Branislav Ivanovic, David Luiz, John Terry, Oscar, Frank Lampard, Ramires, Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Fernando Torres. They also have Ryan Bertrand, Gary Cahill, Florent Malouda, John Mikel Obi, Daniel Sturridge and Victor Moses who are very good players. And the results they got so far show that they are doing pretty well. Of course there is no harm in adding more good players to the squad but the team they have got now is strong enough as they are.

But are likely destination and joining either will means a reunion with his former boss. That said, I think Real Madrid will be more likely. No disrespect but joining the French Ligue 1 is a step down for the left-back. But then, he could stay in the BPL with both Manchester clubs being interested. Man City will have no problem matching or even topping his current salary. Also the fact that Man City loves former Arsenal players. So my guess, Real Madrid or Man City.

I think the key of that decision could well be whether Mourinho remains at Real Madrid next year. I am not so sure of that as things stand currently. If he does not stay on then PSG could become a real option. Cheers! Ram

Ashley Cole is a top player who is very committed - Ashley Cole is a top player who is very committed to his game.
Ashley Cole has to leave Chelsea because of the club's policy of not offering contract more than 1 year to players over 30 years of age. He joined Chelsea to win trophies and he has got his wish. At this stage of his career, the next signing could probably be his last major attempt in moving to a club that is rich enough to afford him as well as having the resources to challenge for honors. He is a top player who is very committed to his game. He is a valuable asset for any team that he plays for.

There is no doubting his footballing talents. But off the game is where he gets into trouble often. Yes, probably this would be his last big money move. Cheers! Ram

Thanks a ton for the discussion. Well glad to hear about the news of Cole planning to move down to other clubs. i think it is his personal take and he should not be forced to take any further decision. If he feels that he can grow well by playing for other clubs then he should move on. It would be an all new experience for him to start a new beginning. What say?
