Face to face with a hacker!

I don't feel creepy at all or weird. I even look at him as if he were a friend. He used to work in our company as an IT technician or the one that looks at everything about our computers and connections and everything about IT. He was new to our company, I believe he never is employed here for 1 month. He did the hacking after he got dismissed or fired by the company. It was even obvious because he posted the company's lines and server pics on his facebook. One of my colleagues is his friend so that was why we were able to see it. He marked our website hacked and he made the picture as his profile pic. Wrong move or it was intentional for us to know what he did. He even hacked the email of our HR and got hold of all the conversations of our HR and our CEO. Also, he was able to rob the company with 4 monitors, that's what I knew. but, I've heard he also stole some other things. He does the stealing at night on weekends that is why we were unable to catch him and our CCTV in the building is not working. Although we operate 24/7, the other room where our marketing department is is his target and we don't check what he's doing there because we know that our IT's sometimes comes at night to check something even the IT guys before him. My point here is, I now know the importance of our Cybercrime Prevention law. I think they should send out the revised edition so this will now be done and those found guilty will be penalized, imprisoned for years. I was against the law because of its flaws and the lost of our freedom of speech. But, I'm sure once the revised edition is out, we will all get to appreciate it's importance.

Well, not all written in the cybercrime law not good for us. There were alots that can help us to not to be a victim of any cyber crime but some of the sections that will harm our freedom of speech. It's good to know they are open to revised the law soon.

I think if they get to remove the content where our freedom of speech is affected, the law will be all good. That's my opinion though. Let's just hope it gets revised soon and we get to read the new points in it.

They never should have rushed it from the start, not hard to fix it up compare to other laws like the RH bill which is still complicated today. even our "freedom of information" bill, which supposed to have been finalized didn't really work out because this is something that beneficial to the people in terms of knowing the politicians expenses. but it would be greater if the Cyber crime is approved so that hackers would be prosecuted.

They made and passed this law to cover up for all those laws and bills that they should have finalized and taken into action. One of our government's technique so we will forget those bills and be busy with looking at this new crazy law.

Hello Gaiza12, this is one reason I guess why we are so immature when it comes to handling the use to Information Technology very well. it's hard because our country is filled with abusive people and i think this person should have not done it. If he made a mistake he should have accepted it like man. Cybercrime Law should have been revised as soon as possible.

He was actually good and always shows up during his first few days when we call him for help. The reason why he got fired was because he didn't show up anymore during daytime because he was too busy at night experimenting on what he will be doing. Well anyway, he really must have planned it all along when he came in our company. Let's just hope we get to see the revised law soon and it better be for the good of all of us.

i have no idea of the full content of the cybercrime law hence i cannot specifically say my pros and cons stand. however, i have a former office-mate who had been a victim of internet abuse when someone opened an F/B account under his name and posted comments etc. which reflects a negative character. if a cybercime law is existing the that person would not have used the internet to maligned him.

Exactly namiya, glad to see you in one of my discussions. Anyway, as long as this cybercrime law is still under revision, these hackers and cyber abusers will continue their thing.

He really is a great hacker but he should use it in good ways and not stealing. I would also like to know how hackers do all these stuff and I want to learn from it. Hopefully a hacker might PM me and coach me to do these things. :) I am against Cybercrime law but what this hacker did was totally bad. He should be imprisoned.

You wrote exactly my sentiments on your concluding statement.I think that the intention was good but using a law just to make s just one feel better among the rest is hardly justice or fair. People will get more angrier and they will feel more repressed. These 'honorable' gentlemen should act their act and roles. They are there fora reason.I just don't know when they get serious.

Mostly are there for power and some are there for the money they could steal from us. If this law is for our good, they should have thought about it before they passed this law.

Yes, he is capable of a lot of things. He is good at it even. I do hope he pays for what he did because we have really done nothing wrong to him to deserved being hacked and robbed.

No, he is not one of the famous "Anonymous Philippines" But, he is a good one. And yes, he is still on the loose. I am not sure if the company has went to the NBI but we have gathered evidence already with what he did.
