When I was 18 years old I rushed around Europe spending on, two of three nights in each destination. Then I came to Hungary and it changed me from rushing around. I began to take more time and visit other places than the capital city. I loved seeing a village on the river and a town on the lake. I found prices delightfully cheap in Hungary in 1990.
How can travel change?
If you changed to another continent which would you like to go to?
Do you travel is in fast way rushing to see the sights or in a slower way?

Many recommend slow travel but I have always opted for conducted tours which for me have several advantages. Let's assume we are in a particular country most of which would be having sights that a tourist would want to visit. It is humanly impossible to cover all those sites unless one spend months in that country. Tour conductors have a mix of sights that would interest most tourists. And apart form this the hassle of travel is taken over. They also get heavily discounted rates that makes it possible for them to accommodate us in 5 star hotels. They know the right places where we can shop and also should there be a mishap we know we have someone who would sort out matters.

A tour guide certainly knows all the great places to see and they can indeed get great deals on the accommodation. For a large country like Australia distances are huge. My friend's parents came and visited Sydney, Ayers Rock and an island by the Great Barrier Reef. They found their tour excellent value and had a wonderful time.

I too have covered both Australia and New Zealand. The package included Sydney, Brisbane, Queensland, Cairn and Melbourne in Australi and in New Zealand we covered Christchurch, Queensland, Auckland, and Rotorua. At each of these places we were shown around sights that were worth seeing, like the Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Opera,Sheep sheering, Cable rides in the deepest forests, Great Ocean Road, Penguin March, Sea World, etc.
South New Zealand is a tourist's paradise compared to North New Zealand. The Milford sound is worth every cent you pay. I liked the natural lay outs, miles and miles of prairies with sheep grazing, the bungee jumping site, A simulated Antarctica experience was mind blowing. In New Zealand we also saw the glow worm wonder.
