He's so proud of me just because I play DotA

I download the latest episode of One Piece every Monday morning to make sure my husband could watch it as he is big fan of this anime. And lately, I've been trying my best to learn how to play DotA as I always see him plays it. It's been a week of just practicing playing against the computer and been thinking about Kardel, memorizing his skills and items even if I am at work or just eating. And so last night, I started joining rooms to play against other players. When my husband learned about it, he was so happy as if I did something big. We played together and he would always post this message "I'm with my wife" and other users would even commend him for that. Well, I am happy to see that my husband is happy but I think that their reactions are a bit exaggerated. What is so special about it?

Woah that Anime was aired on GMA like 9 years ago?:D still have fans?:D haha he was proud of you obviously. and he was happy because over the net, it is said that dota is the rival of women/girls in their bf's attention. But look at you now, both of you playing the same game-the game hated by other gf/wives :))

Hi thanks for your response. I didn't know it was already aired 9 years ago as I've been downloading its latest episodes lately. Are you sure with this? We're talking about One Piece here right? I find it confusing as there was a week that the next episode was not still available online. Anyways, need to check this out. I see, I didn't know girls hate playing those kind of games as I've been playing strategy games before but have never really tried playing this one or any online games. I like playing computer games where you have a character, needs to earn gold to buy items, something like that. And this dota is almost the same, the difference is you play against other players which is real people as well.

One piece, it's the skinny boy with friends on a pirate ship?:D He was named monkey the luffy before. I don't know if it's the exact series you are watching :D Oh no dear, it's not that girls hate the game because they don't like it. Indeed it's a good game..but .. girls hate it because their bf plays it a lot and taking girls for granted. That's why there's a song entitled "dota o ako" lol! :)

I know how he feels. I once asked my girlfriend to learn the game and she did. It was tiresome at first having to teach her the basics but fortunately her elder brother plays it too so she also had helped from him. After a while she asked me if we could play against computer together, so we did. I saw that she was also enjoying it and was happy to be playing with me. I was happy that she was at least trying to know something for me. We don't play now, because she is really busy but those memories will always be cherished.

Thanks for sharing those memories choy. I now fully understand the feeling of having your partner trying to learn what you enjoy. Actually, he already has plans. He said he would invite his cousins to come to our home and we'll play together. He said they will be happy to know Well, for me it is really fine as I can see that he still does his work and is still balance with everything. We actually have not played that much last night, only one game, as he came home late after attending something outside.

It's the other way around for me. My bf learned to play my online game, World of Warcraft. I taught him how to play and with my little knowledge, we were able to go through all the quest together. We even made a character of the same class and leveled at the same time. Our guildmates and some friends do play with their wives and gfs as well. I say, it's not very good to play online games because this can be very addictive but it's not also bad to learn it and play with your partner because this too can be considered as your bonding moments.

I would also be proud if my wife would do the same thing, lol! It's sort of a very significant initiative on your part to be interested in what your husband is interested on and enjoying it. It is a way of complimenting your husband especially if you really enjoy doing it.

Thank you obe. I did not realized that I just made a good move for doing that. Actually, he told me that he loves me a hundred and ten percent now because I play dota with him. He said I'm the best . I honestly find it funny, don't know if he's serious. I do enjoy playing dota and if only I have learned it previously, I should have beaten those enemies with my own hands

Yes, I could see how overwhelmed he is for having me play dota with him. I really do not expect him to feel that way but am truly happy that he is happy about it. That is what other players said, they are giving my husband a thumbs up for having me play dota as they say that they can't make their girlfriends play with them. Thank you for your response.

Joining your partner on what he likes is special. He's proud of himself in playing dota and that makes him more proud because he's doing it with his wife. You've done something that both of you are enjoying. (that is important). Even I know, its A for the effort. Its important that you have activities that both of you are together enjoying. Its like little girls playing together with dolls.

Thanks ztuberi, I do hope we won't be playing dolls together in the future I get your point and now know the value of having to enjoy the same activities as this will help us draw closer to each other and so strengthening our power to conquer the enemies towers I mean to strengthen our relationship and bond. Thanks again.
