What sort of cupcakes do you make for the family and what are there favourite? Tonight I made chocolate cupcakes, iced them with white glace icing and then dusted the icing with lemon sherbert dust. Sadly they have all gone. The sherbet glittens on the chocolate cake and looks very festive for christmas. I came up with this idea when I was looking through the cupboard and was looking for a way to jazz up chocolate cupcakes with little effort and cost. Looking forward to reading what sort of cupcakes you make and wish to share with us all on mylot

I don't do cupcakes often. My most requested cake is my strawberry cake. The last cake I made for my daughter was a butter cream cake with whipped chocolate icing. The youngest granddaughter who doesn't eat cake, has just about ate it all.She said I want the exact same one for my birthday next month.

I'm sure you will soon have time to bake. I make lots of cupcakes as they are easy to put into lunch boxes rather than sliced cake. Would love ot watch a tv show like that

I don't bake but I definitely enjoy eating baking, lol. We have an amazing cupcake shop in town that I try to stay away from save for the occasional special treat. They have a white cupcake with a raspberry frosting that is delicious, they use real raspberries in the frosting. One of my other favorites is their chocolate cupcake with a coffee flavored frosting, complete with a chocolate covered coffee bean garnish. They also have a chocolate BACON cupcake with a maple frosting that is slightly odd but also quite interesting. Can't say it's my favorite but it was definitely worth trying!

Bacon cupcakes.... mmmmmm my hubby and son would like them. I find cupcakes with frosting on are quite a lot of money to buy, but they taste so yummy, lots of calories as well.

I dont usually make cupcakes, as I dont have patient to let them cool befor eputting the icing on. I love chocolate, or pumpkin then cream cheese icing, or chocolate icing. I like baking little things such as squares, or plain muffins.

Sounds yummy. I made the cupcakes 7 am this morning as I knew I wouldn't have time to bake them and ice them tonight, so they sat on the side all day and I iced them at 4pm when the children got in from school. They eat them for supper.... all 12 of them between the three of them and hubby. I didn't mind as I planned for them to eat all of them. I have carrot cupcakes for lunch boxes and other chocolate cupcakes. Chocolate and grated carrot cupcakes are yummy..... so the children tell me, as I don't eat cake very often but love to bake. What are squares? Can you share the recipe with us please
