Or answers that they think will be popular with others. Why do you consider this to be the case all the best, urban

I used to wonder about it, but now, I just read through what they think and take it as it is. I admit that there's no certain way that I can be so sure on whether the people participating are giving truthful answers or not. I mean even those who post discussions can also be surmised as whether that is indeed his or her true story, if ever. I do believe that what most people say is what they think or believe in. Of course I am not always right but then most of the people I know tend to think first before replying.

Hi Urban,I think it goes both ways. Some people are very honest.Where there are some people that just say what they think the person that made the discussion want's to hear or what a friend of theirs want them to say. They are trying to impress a certain person or group of people on myLot.

I agree that is the case sometimes. However, we cannot be certain. To me, it seems that people mostly pick issues that are not very personal, and hence their strong opinion on something is not going to rattle someone.

I think sometimes a lot of people don't know what to say so they read the other responses and go with the flow. I guess it's partly a need to belong somewhere and also a desire to participate and earn. Obviously in some discussions there are some well thought out and truthful responses and I believe for the most part that while these may be embellished, they are honest. As to the embellishment, folk will often add to a story or leave something out to make the story sound better, sort of artist's licence if you will.

You could assume that it will be the case but of course there are chances that most of it are always slanted towards popularity or caution. However, a truthful answer with regards to personal experiences as opposed to general truth can be defined only by the respondent and we can not truly distinguish if it is only that and nothing more.

While I am not very sure, but it seems either people are truthful here, or they are just using some commonsense responses. Outright falsehood seems less of a possibility, but it cannot be ruled out as yet.
