In the Town Hall debate on the question of the Libyan terrorist attack Gov Romney confronted the President and the President said he did call it an act of Terror in the Rose Garden the next day. Candy Crowley was very quick to cut off Gov Romney and state that the President was right then later add that Gov. Romney was also right. The next morning she stated that President Obama did not really say the Benghazi attack was a terrorist attack. But the damage was done to her credibility she jumped in to save President Obama and cut off Gov Romney making it look like he was the one telling the lie.

In answer to your question, I stopped watching CNN a while ago. I haven't trusted them in a few years. Candy Crowley? I didnt really know her. After the debate, I would say, no way! She proved herself to be in there to help Obama. I have moderated debates for local elections. I would have been run out before the debate was even over. Your job is simply to be a referee. You are not to have an opinion. That is what is so wrong with our media these days. Can nobody just report the damn news anymore?

Too many of the reporters want to make the news rather than report it. They like to think of themselves as these great people shaping peoples opinion rather than just reporting the news and let the people make up their minds. All you have to do is look at the news stations and see which ones are increasing viewership and which are losing viewers. Many publications are on the verge of going under because people don't trust them any more. The most successful ones are those that label news as news and opinion as opinion.

Exactly. This is why it is so important to vet your sources and don't believe everything you hear.

I didn't see much of the debate because I was watching the baseball game, but I did see that part. When she jumped in to help the President, I thought the expression on her face said, whoops, I shouldn't have done that, so then she correct herself by agreeing to some degree with Romney. I expect the moderators in these debates to lean left, so I'm not surprised when or if they do. Therefore, it doesn't hurt their creditability as far as I'm concerned because they are being who they are. If I knew they leaned left but were fair, that would raise their creditability in my estimation.

I hope that in 2016 they get non media people to moderate the debates. I would like to see a debate where each candidate was asked a question from a person chosen by his opponent and given 4 minutes to answer and then a 2 min rebuttal. Then the same thing for the other candidate. A friend asked me if I was called about being at a town hall would I say I was an undecided just to get into the debate? I guess it would be tempting, so I don't think the town hall debate is anything more than a staged event.

This was the entire intention of the debate itself. Obama has nothing he can say to make himself look good because his record for the past 3 plus years is indefensable and he knows it so he has to use deflection tactics and also engage the help of the liberally biased media.

I never feel we can trust any politician anywhere. They all lie to get into office. And continue to lie while in office.
