More medical problems seem to pop up when least expected.
Here I am enjoying my crafting days being older now and no children at home, and I started to notice more pain.
You make an appt. to go see your family doctor and the next thing you know you are in X-Ray dept, blood work, and then other tests outside the doctor's office.
Sheesh
After that you begin to wonder why you went to the doctor at all.
But having gotten these all done, I had my VA Disability physical yesterday 100 miles away, and he got to use all those tests I had just had done!
So My physical which was supposed to be all day long turned into 3 hours and we could leave.
Now the wait again for the decision. I think I will go cross stitch now and get back with my friends later. I am still extremely tired from the round trip of 200 miles.
of course having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome does not help either.

Well, certain sounds like you had a full day. 200 miles (round trip) just to go to the doctor for a VA Disability physical?? It seems like "they" would let one have a disability physical close to home, but what do I know? At least you got to use all the tests that you already had.
Hope you have a good day
, and a productive and relaxing time cross stitching.

Yea its pretty amazing how the government works. I was very fortunate not to have to redo the same tests I had done that week before.
The doctor felt comfortable with me and I him so it was a good quick physical.
Still waiting for what they will give me for being a Veteran.

I think we will be forever be experiencing being uncomfortable or stressed. Especially when we are getting a bit older. When you think that your obligations have lessened coz of the children all grown up, then we start feeling something different in our body. Just relax. Maybe what you do need is a vacation.

Hi jenny my vacation will be in May. I just watch myself closely so I wont fall.
thats the biggest scare or rammed in the rear of my car.
Things will get better or not.
I am willing to listen but also not sure how far I care to go. I havve seen a lot of people messed up from back surgery so I am really skeptical.

Wow! A government official using common sense! What next?
I think I would have blown up if I was in your position and they made me undergo all those tests a second time.
Enjoy your cross-stitching: it'll take your mind off things.

LOL yea he did not make me redo what I had just gotten done that week from my family practice doctor.
The back doctor called today trying to schedule me in.
I want to go to a chiropractor for his opinion and then go to this back doctor.
I am planning on doing it after the holidays
Thanks I am enjoying the cross stitching just not all the symbols on this piece
I promise to put up a piece of it I have finished.
I could do more if the symbols were easier to work with.

I have pain quite a bit in my back and sides and doctors have yet to figure out my problem. Every time I get an Xray done it shows up nothing. I was in a couple car accidents one in my teens and one 6 months ago I think it could be from that and I have Scoliosis on top of it. I did some lab work and it showed my bun and creatinine levels were high and he just told me to drink more water and fluids so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. I have to get blood work repeated in 4 weeks and go from there. All my doctor just does is prescribe pain medication without figuring out what's wrong. When I go see my heart specialist I'm going to ask him about it or get a referral to someone that knows how to treat symptoms without prescribing medicine all the time. I hope your doctors are able to figure out what's going on with you and it is annoying to keep going for blood work and Xray's I feel your pain.

I wish you well Blondie. I have worked in the medical field since I was 15. Then I went in the Army age 18 and became a medical specialist. So I have not only seen but helped in working in neurology, and neurosurgery.
I am not a candidate to be a good paitent since I know about everything they want to do to me.
I am getting a couple of places to read the reports before I make a decision
Having back surgery is delicate and intricate and can mean whether I walk or sit in a wheel chair for the rest of my life. Scary business when they have to mess with the spine. I know cause I took care of all the guys coming back to the neurology ward.
Thanks for your insight.

My grandmother used to say that sometimes, going to the doctor can be bad for you. She said when you get there, the doctor is always late and you have to spend some considerable time waiting for him to show up in a sitting room with other sick patients that you end up leaving the place sicker than when you come in. Not to mention that healthcare here is so poorly addressed; that's why she only goes to the doctor when it can't be helped.

As you get older we all know within our wisdom we only have so much time. We try to provide getting what we absolut4ely have to but then when it comes right down to the actual illness, we seem to drag our feet not going through it.
Its always a catch 22 to me.
I dont want to be one of their human guinea pigs.

Do you know what area hurt? Sometimes you can figure out whats going on if you know your body as it tells it to you.
The Xrays and MRIs were not good I have severe desenegration disc disease.
Not sure what my next step is.
I know doctors are cut happy and I want a few options before settling on listening to just one.
Sure hope you feel better!

That is why i don't want to see a doctor because they will require us to go through various diagnostic exam , and from there they our sickness will be detected. It is a good moved but i just don't like it because i am so afraid to know whether i got a sickness or none.
