Wow...Makati is once again named as the country's richest city as it posted P9-billion revenue collection from January to September of this year.
Really, we can't deny the fact that the City is a business district that many of our high rising buildings is situated there..
I just hope that the City has a wide array of services to cater for its poor inhabitants...but I have heard that hospital services in the City is free....

it's not surprising since it is the primary business district in the country's primary region.
That's the reason why the mayor there who is our vice president now was very popular because of the wide array of free services in that city

There is no surprise in that people most of the main offices of the biggest companies in the country are in Makati. It is THE business district of the country. Plus, they have sound policies that earn the city a good amount of income. The city also caters to senior citizens here. They can watch movies for free, and on their birthday, the barangay can give them a treat like a birthday cake. Yes, there is free hospital service, but, you have to line up. So, if you have a little money to spare, better go to the doctor that charges or else be prepared to wait in line.
I miss this city.
Maybe I should go back there.

It is obviously the richest, basing from the high rise structures and modern amenities that is in there, owned by different big companies.
From the taxes alone that those companies pays, it wouldn't be a wonder that they will get that revenue.
I wonder if Global City will be the next Makati in the future. But i do believe that because of the accessibility of Makati it will always the the richest.

Almost all big businesses here in the country have their headquarters there in Makati, no wonder that 9 billion collections for three quarters can be easily achieve by the city. Have you wander within the business district, their underpasses have escalators!
Although Makati is very cosmopolitan, on the east portion of the city dwells the largely urban poor populations and where most slums are located.

Well it is obvious when you are in the place that the standards of living for people living in that area is really different if you transfer to another place. I think it was because oif the location of the place where it is centrally located to most parts of NCR. The biggest businesses are also thriving there and most of the head offices are situated in the city. So I guess they were lucky with the positioning of their place that it favors most of the big business here in NCR.
Comparing to other cities around the NCR, Makati has many benefits its citizen that other cities cannot afford to do in their cities. They were the first to introduced the free movies to senior citizens living in the City. They were the first one which gives birthday cakes for anyone that celebrates their birthday in the Barangay. I do not know all the perks and benefit of living in Makati but I know that the benefits and perks are much better there that is why many are preferring for live there. But of course the cost of living there is much higher as compared to other cities.
