Donaire made a great performance against the Japanese fighter Nishioka.

What a stellar performance Donaire showed against Nishioka. I believe he did the right thing with Nishioka this time, taking his time and not going for a knockout early in the rounds. Unlike his 3 fights prior to this fight, he was very impatient and always going for the knockout and in the process he was hit several times coming in. This time, he showed Nishioka a boxing lesson, he collected a lot of points through clean jobs and timed combinations and straight rights but not in a hasty way, but only when the timing was right. Every time Nishioka throws a punch, Donaire throws back 2 or 3 punches back. Anyway, how about your opinion about how Donaire fought Nishioka? Who do you think will be a next good opponent for him?

I thought Nishioka will knock out Nonito Donaire. It will not really happen. At the end, Donaire won. Nishioka did not really fight back at Donaire because of the speed. Nishioka were slow and old to pick up the counter punch. I hope Donaire versus Arce fight will happen in december or next year.

I don't know about Donaire vs Arce because my brother just told me yesterday that fight might not happen at all because Arce was asking for a very big amount from the promoters. Is it a 'ducking' strategy?

I also watched this fight last Sunday and I can say that he really did a great match. We should all be proud of him for giving another honor yi our country. He dominated the whole fight and deserved to win the title. Good luck for his next match and hope he could win again.

Yes, another Filipino pride and I think Filipinos should stop comparing him with Pacquiao which only causes division as both these fighters give pride to our country. Checking just now, I read that Donaire is really looking on Arce as his next opponent. I would say that would be a fight worth looking for. Arce is the type of fighter who is not lost until the 12 rounds are finished. He always have the chance to knockout his opponent no matter how far behind in points he is. That's how dangerous he is. Anyway, I feel that his style is fit for Donaire and Bob Arum said that if Donaire's hands heals fast, the fight may happen this December 2012.

Donaire was impressive in his Nishioka fight. He really fought exactly what they formulated on his game plan. Patiently he waited for the right moment to knock the hell out of Nishioka on the ninth. That's has showed Donaire's improvement and maturity in the sport of boxing. We all know that when boxers have the power to knock their opponents out they become too complacent with that power and they always try to be aggressive and eager to engage and knock out their foes, but almost all the time this trick won't work and chances are they get hit. Donaire tried to look for openings and lured Nishioka into a trap when he caught him off guard and boom there goes Nishioka's knockout punch. I really hope Donaire will win again in his next fight, and make the Nishioka bout a stepping stone to continue improving and master his craft. He may go up to the next division or he may choose another elite fighter within his ranks, but for now let him cherish his win for the moment and see what's next for Donaire next year.

Yes, we do have very similar analysis of that fight :)
I would like Donaire to face the unpredictable and dangerous boxer Arce.
That would be exciting because Arce is such a knockout artist who is not afraid to get hit as long as he could give his knockout punch.
With Donaire's speed and ability to dodge punches, I doubt if Arce could land a dangerous punch, but because he is dangerous until the end of the bout anything can happen, and that could make the fight exciting.
