What Internet Browser Do You Consider To Be THE WORST Of All Time?

I started using the Internet back in the early 90's when the browser features were beginning to really blossom. AOL was top dog and Internet Explorer was growing fast. Netscape was once the one and only but it was dying off... Nowadays, there are quite a few alternative browsers out there for desktops and laptops and even more specialty browsers for phones and tablets are being created as we speak. Think about your early days on the Internet and share your thoughts about THE WORST BROWSER you have ever used! Is it still around? Has it improved? What alternative browser do you use these days?

For me, the worst would be the internet explorer which is a default browser for windows. It really pisses me off when using it because of its slow loading and very silly interface.

Thanks for your response and for honestly expressing your feelings! I am going to sit back and watch the comments come in, because I've got a feeling there are going to be quite a few people that might agree with you! Thanks again and have a great day!

When I first started working online, it was AOL that I was having issues with. Interestingly enough, I don't ever remember using AOL. I've heard experiences from other pc users that AOL was giving them trouble, so I stayed away from it. I think I downloaded it on my system, changed my mind about it, and wanted to delete it. There was no deleting AOL. It didn't want to leave, I guess. Ha, ha, lol. Anyway, without having personally experienced the browser, I don't care for AOL.

You're right, peaceful. It's all coming back to me now. I don't think I knew any better. I probably loaded that stupid disk into my system. AOL can make you go AWOL.

That's a good one! Like a lot of folks, I can't believe that AOL is still in business!

Thanks, I don't know how they're in business either. I just try to make light of it as much as possible so that I don't have a cyber meltdown.

we should not name a browser as the worst. because every software should be developed day by day, and they will fix the bugs also.

Sadly, The are many, many good computers in the repair shop because of bad browsers. The damage that can come from them is so stressful that they should be mentioned. I have had clients literally lose their worklife for days at a time because of a misbehaing browser. I do thank you for your comment and wish you an excellent day!

I felt internet explorer is the one of the worst browser which i had used. I felt that it takes alot of time for loading pages as well a lot of time to start it. I felt this two years back and I don't know what is the present condition of it

Thanks for your excellent comment! I hear that microsoft has a newer version of IE that is supposed to be leaner, faster and more modern, but when I tried to download it, my machine wouldn't let me!

Maxthon3 is my favorite... it has virtually brought my 10 year old laptop back to life! Movies play like they are brand new DVD's even when the streaming signal is weak. I wish I could get rid of IE altogether, but it's platform contains program that make PC's dependent on it...

I remember my friend owning this weird browser called Juno, which came in a CD. I don't think he still has it today, but I thought it was the worst. IE was great compared to Juno, but if at anytime, I'd probably switch back to Firefox. It's my Jack of all trades! :D

Oh my gosh! JUNO? It was the dialup wonder! Wow! Technocrats who worked up that system must be hitting their heads in embarassment!

Im sure everyones pc works differently. For mine here, ie has never worked right. I have re installed it 3-4 times. So for my internet explorer is by far the worse browser. have a great weekend there. See you here soon.

Thank you so much for responding! Yes, everyone's computer works a little differently. The browser you choose can and does make a difference every time you engage the Internet. A bad browser choice can have you running to the repair shop every week, so it's a good idea to keep an eye open for better applications! Hope you have a great weekend, too! See you soon!

Internet Explorer has never failed in pissing me off, both as user and as developer. Though I have tried IE9, and it's fairly better than its predecessor. But I'll need to have Win7 first to install IE9, so basically it's another big No..
