Just 2 days after the movie was first shown in theaters, I have decided to watch the movie. At first, only two of us planned to watch the film, on the same thay we planned to watch it, we try to convinced other classmates to watch it. Well, in fact, they are what we called Kapamilyas, not a solid Kapuso. While watching the movie, these are some of their reactions: OA, corny, and one of them totally laugh (just like he is watching vice ganda, OA, totally). I myself, just watch it as a normal viewer and sometimes laugh when the scene was truly laughable. Now, on my personal opinion, I will just concentrate on these aspects: Story, Effects, and Acting. THE STORY The story was just easy to remember but not remarkable to most viewers, I think. It is a movie which includes not only horror, but it involves drama, comedy, and action. If you first look at the title, the movie was about TikTik, a monster, so would say that this movie was a horror film, but not. On the story itself, the added sponsors just to make some fun, comedy scenes indeed, just like the Lipps Candy and Boy Bawang part making it more unforgetable for viewers. The Effects The movie uses the chroma key or the green screen technology. It is the first full length movie which uses this technology even though it is widely use in special scences to most fantasy movies. The effort was there. The editting was clean especially for the setting of the story. In terms of the monsters, they were very well made. Very solid graphics even though it was close-up. Thumbs up for this aspect of the movie. In terms of sound effects, it is not really meant as a horror movie except for the first part. Most of it uses a theme song used for a sort of a barkada action film which change the ambience of the story from horror to comedy to action. The Acting The casts were all very good in this movie. They portray the roles as it really meant for. No doubt, Dingdong Dantes really improved in this movie as he portrays a different role from all his past roles. I also like how Ramon Bautista acts to confuse Makoy (Dingdong) and the viewers if he was also an aswang. Being an aswang for Lj Reyes and the other aswangs were also commendable. Making drama of this comedy-horror-action film was not that simple, making Lovi Poe's acting became better. Joey Marquez was indeed great in this movie and also with Janice de Belen. To all the casts, Congratulations! In addition, it is nice that ABS-CBN fans was with me in watching the show to also hear their comments. If I will rate this movie, they deserve 8.5 out of 10.

hi erjnsimon. i've been planning to watch this movie with my wife and daughter since last week. actually, my wife and i want to watch it but my daughter doesn't want to. lol! anyway, i've read the comics and for me it was a well-written story. the effects are also state of the art and if filipino movies were like 'tiktik', i'll definitely go out more and spend my hard-earned money on well-made pinoy flicks. not saying that all filipino movies should use the latest green screen technology but if the effort in making a great film is there, it will always be noticed and talked about. anyway, i'll probably watch this movie by myself over the next two days. if there is a download available already, i'll watch it online instead. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

We just talked about it last night with my brother when we had out drink session here in out house, i mean our 28 years old nephew visited us here from the province so we treat him for a drinks. And so were watching television at the same time when we saw the Tiktik movie and i commented like the movie is so Korny and Over acting and i don't like it, probably they rated it as part of the comedy movie. Though my brother said it is a good movie and an epic and even become popular that even abroad recognize it and then my reaction is What? what's the epic for that film its all computerized and the Aswang character are like a copy cat from other film or even from international films and so over characterize.

Very detailed review you got here :) Thanks for sharing it. i am planning to watch the movie only because of the soundtrack, Halik ni Hudas which is a song performed by my favorite Pinoy band, Wolfgang. Well maybe, I'll just wait for the dvd copy instead :)
