Vulgar Books

I remember my first book that had swear words. I remembered being totally shocked that there are books that hold them, and I still hold this feeling whenever it has a swear inside the book, and I was actually told to read that clause the other day in class (my English teacher being laid-back and all).
When you read, do you get a little shocked by reading those words? I guess I still haven't gotten entirely comfortable yet, but have you gotten that feeling?

I have read several books and cant remember the last one that had bad words in it. I dont think books is the place for vulgar words.

I haven't read a book that contains so many profanities than I read on FanFictions. I don't get shocked reading anything that contains profanities because I got used to it over the years. Some people I know curses a lot, so the profanities grows on you. Although, when it comes to television series, I get a little bit uncomfortable when I hear profanities.
