In my small town,I have heard that some of the local officials lost their positions or were arrested in the past ten years just because they had involved into coruption cases. And on TV,I could see that some of the senior officials were investigated, arrested and put into prison. But to my surprise, the strong momentum of the coruption officials' escaping abroad never stops in China! Why? I guess there must be all kinds of reasons led to such a situation,so please share what you know outside China.

In my country India corruption is a major problem. Here more over politicians and officers are corrupt. Here the leader who spend long period in prison are now part of commettie which are responsible for making policies. Here it is hard to punish a corrupt person who have good links in government.

Yes,the Chinese government has declared that there will be a long way to go for our country to punish corruption officials.I hope it's not an excuse, for the government began fighting against corruption some thousand years ago!

Corruption, especially with politicians and public officials is something that happens all over the world. Here, I think that a lot of the corruption is a result of the lobbyists that are found in the capital of the country and also in the state capitals as well. It is sad to hear about this kind of corruption, but I believe that it is something that will never stop in this world as long as there are politicians and elected public officials.

I guess corruption goes on in every part of the world. It doesn't matter if you are someone holding an important position in the government sector, private sector of non-profit organisations. The point is if one does not have any value on preserving virtue then it is very easy for them to get involved into corruption. The only thing with senior officials is that they are public figures so any wrong that they do will normally be highlighted compared to wrongdoings done by ordinary people. Just my two cents. Have a nice day!

In my opinion,,it's not worth for an official getting involved into corruption. But since there are so many corruption cases around the world every year,it shows that the officals all have thought it over and decided to get involved into all kinds of corruptions, they would rather have a risk grabbing sums of money and their preserved virtue cannot stop them at all!

I think it's going on all over and we can't escape it....where and when there is money involved people get greedy and will do anything to get more...so sad. the best things in life can't be bought....and they end up miserable or in prision because of the persuit.

Well, I do not know exactly what happens in China, it much less outside the territory. But also to answer your thread, because in my country (Italy), things are not much better! Politicians stealing, corruption, wiretaps, in short, bad life, bad governance happens even in my country. Every day, reading the newspaper are now current topics on the front page! Yes, it is true that the whole world is a village. Corruption and so on, are really from every part!

I agree. It's not from today to fight against officials' corruption, but no one can really stop it,and in China, such cases are increasing year by year!So I gragually accept that corruption stays with the human beings forever!
