it will be new record for our country the world class infrastructure and concept i think I do hope no corruption in this planning of good concept.. It can be good too for any people in Sumatera island and Java island.. it will connect easily two main island.. and with the easier communication, the easy access, it will increase economic growth especially in Sumatera island

Halo adhiz82. i think the bridge of sunda strait is going to be a pretty atractive icon, but indonesia will never be separated from the issue of corruption, therefore there will be two opinions that appear " PROUD" and 'Corruptions"

Would you mind if I'm talking about conspiracy? The logistic trucks and containers always get stuck on any harbour, specially Merak. If the reason because of the weather, its normal. Even some people said that it could be created by some "people". Some people believe that Tsunami aren't natural disaster. But for the maintenance of more then 50% of the Roro ship? This issues are created to make this plan get goal as soon as possible. As we all know that everything that used APBN fund will benefits some people. Yes, I agree with the brigde cause it will give a great benefit for Sumatera island. But I don't like with the way to make it as an "urgent thing". So that it doesn't matter even how much fund needed. It will get goal by the RAPBN. Remember the Sea Games venue? The contractors are too slow on their work, so that the deadline almost over. It make the DPR agree to raise the fund up to IDR500 billions to save our face. Is that a normal? Our country full with conspiracy and fake.

A bridge over the 27km Sunda Strait linking Sumatra to the island of Java is good and will make life easier for the 20 million commuters who cross the strait annually by ferry with savings in traveling time of several hours. But the high construction cost of US$10 billion, and the fact that the area is close to sites of possible volcanic activity with frequent earthquakes are concerns that the Indonesian government has to address before the project could begin. There are also the issues of toll charge to the users of the bridge. If the toll is too high, some commuters may still prefer using the cheaper ferry and it will lower the bridge usage. The economist has to calculate the cost of the benefit versus the high investment whether a better alternative is more suitable to improve the integration of the two islands, for example, to upgrade the ferry facilities and to improve the strait shipping management.

Thanks for posting this discussion. Well i am amazed and happy to know about this bridge and is very much looking forward to see this bridge breaking records. I think that would be awesome to see vehicles passing through it and it would be an amazing view. But i think everything should be done with care so that they can avert any possible damages in the future. What say?
