Anyone using uTorrent out there?

Hi I am currently using uTorrent to download movies. Mind to share the secret how to increase the download rate? My best download rate is just only 15KBs only.

yes im using uTorrent,my best dll rate is 300 KBs,u must search torrent with a lot of seed and but not a lot of leech,but if u dont have a good internet speed u wont me able to dll fast

Hmm...in that case, what is your favourite download site, which offer better seed list? Coz current my seed list is like 1 ~3 only. That's why i am getting low dll speed :(

i have a 5Mbit/s,the 300 kb/s was very good because i usaly dll at 40 kb/s

Thanks for the recommendation. I have never heard of this software. I think I am going to give it a try. If it's a good one, then it will make the download of movie even more easier :) Although they are good, but I still current software a bit tedious.

Hello cheongyc. I don't use uTorrent. It is new to me, but I use web xunlei or chaojixuanfen, a product by Tencent QQ.com. It works well and I love it very much. So either xunlei or cjxf is my major one to do some downloading.

uTorrent is having the same function as xunlei or cjxf. They are useful software to download the torrent files from seeds computer over the internet. I have been downloading quite a number of movies and software. But recently I feel that it's tedious and require lot of patience and time. It's not easy to find a good torrent because most of the time, the seeds are not complete or the total download time is too long. I prefer buy movie in DvD. Thanks for your response!

Hi Cheongyc, I am using UTorrent since few months and I love to download lots of softwares, videos and music files. My best download speed is around 16-28Kb. I normally get speed of 8-20Kbps during days and 16-30Kbps during nites. Sometimes even more.

Thanks for the sharing. I could hardly get that speed. Are you able to get the network indicator to be green or yellow or red. It's in the bottom bar of utorrent. Green means everything is ok. Yellow is some warning, like network portforwarding is having some problem, causing low speed. Red means totally not ok. Wha i get so far is yellow color. But i had tried many ways and many ways to setup the port forwarding but it's still the same :(

On my side uTorrent is way faster than Bittorrent & it wont eat the PC resource. Besides, i never encounter incomplete or corrupted downloaded files. I just cant get a faster download rate better than BitComet :( I am having unexpected terminate error when using Bit Comet. It jst prompt like 5 mins intervals and i cant let download on its own all night long :(

no. we use bitcomet here at home. i have not tried utorrent. download rate depends on seeders, you may check on the file before you download, there could be less seeders causing the download rate to be slow.

Yeah, later i found out what you say is right. It's like supply and demand. When supply (seed) more than demand (leech) then download speed will be extremely fast. It will be the other way round if demand more than supply. Thanks for the explanation.

I wss use torent once (bitcomet) my sister try to download chu liu xiang xuan xi from internet. And becareful. U must actived Ur anti virus and firewall. So many IP attack when I use bitcomet. After she get first and second eps (600 mb), we stop to use it^^ No.. I don;t know about that. So sorry

Try to use bit comet 0.70 It is the latest version and I think the best from all. I have reach speeds about 62 kb/sec and my internet conection is at only 60 k/s. So..I am very happy about it. Have a nice day!

Yes, i am using this latest version actually. Wow, you really got that fast. Previously i could also achieve very high speed. But later my PC was attacked by adware & spyware, causing the program become unstable. It terminated every now and then with error. So i switched to uTorrent.

It is a software to download anything using torrent way (seeds & peers). Simple speaking, it is a method where everybody could download from the others. A send to B, B send to C & A also send to C & vice versa. For uTorrent software, you can have a look in : http://www.utorrent.com/ I am not sure about what is Limewire though.
