Hey guys, i am working with a magazine as a State Head due to which i am taking interviews of many imminent personalities. Recently i took an interview of the head of State Advocacy Cell for the people of disabilities.
The moment of shock was when i got to know that that person was visually impaired. I mean i still get goosebumps while writing this. he was born without any vision and in spite of this, he had gone through many hardships and is now holding a very important post that is still a dream for many. He shared his experiences that how people still look at him with an indifference but that has never deterred his spirit and has successfully solved more than 50 cases dealing with the people with disabilities single handedly.
In fact during the course of our interview, he was able to answer the calls and also was able to browse internet all by himself. Seriously hats off to this person!

subhojit:
yes. you are State Head in a magazine. good position. do well. Blind people somehow develop additional skills and are able to manage well. I know a gentleman 60+ --he is head of department of education in delhi university -- fully blind from his 4th year or so. this man can remember the signals in delhi to reach a place-- 8 red signals, 9th one take left turn like that he remembers.
he has a watch which can speak and tell him the time. he can also use internet comfortably. the problem will be for people who become blind mid life--they just cannot manage to get things done. Everything is in God's hands.

Thanks a ton for your response. I was glad to hear the story of that 60 year old veteran from whom we have so much to learn. We often get disheartened when one of our mission gets failed and start complaining but what about those people who have lost their vision or speech. Are they complaining? No in fact they have strong will power developed over the years due to hardships and challenges that they achieve the impossible. These people are such people are an inspiration to our whole society.

Thanks a ton for your response again. Well sorry to say this that this interview is only on the magazine but i will seriously take your advise and ask my senior officials to make all the interview that is being taken available on the internet as well so that people can get to know about those personalities as well. It was taken entirely in English and so no translation is required, once i am done, i will let u know about the link where u can get the whole interview.

The person is really inspiring , i mean , we (normal people) complain a lot about many things in life, but this person is so content with what he have and also doing some great work, which is an inspiration to us. So what i think is we should stop complaining about the problems and start working .

I totally agree, when I read this it makes me think of how well I have it. A lot of us have such comfortable lives compared to this man yet he can accomplish so much. It also makes me feel like I haven't accomplished enough in life and makes me want to start working. Because really, if this man can do things with his life, really good things, then I have no excuse.

@prashu228-
Thanks a ton for your response. Well yes u are completely correct, we the able human beings are more into these complaining and nagging about everything around and even if one is fulfilled we are still not satisfied and content. Look at that person, who has never seen the beautiful world around him yet he has done so much in his life that it is really hard to believe. I all have to take some lessons from him and learn something from him.

Thanks a ton for your response. Yes i agree to u on this point that with such people around us, it makes us feel that whatever we have achieved in our life is just very small and diminutive in front of his accomplishments. I was startled when i saw him for the first time and when the interview got over, i humbly confessed that I was inspired by his personality and for whatever he has achieved in his life.

The faculties that he used are there in every human being whatever be the disability. It is just a matter of being able to identify them. It is sad really that the able bodied are blind to these faculties, many a time.

Thanks a ton for your response. Yes looking at his achievements and accomplishments makes us all able bodied feel that whatever we have achieved in our lives is nothing in front of him. He even went on to say that in the due course of his work, many people have criticized him but that has never deterred him and he has been doing on the good work. Seriously hats off to this strong willed person. So much things to learn from him.

Thanks a ton for your response. Yes i was lucky enough to take my first interview with him and felt that i have landed up at the right place. I was moved and touched by his humbleness simplicity and personality. He greeted us with respect and was equally excited throughout the interview like us. You are right, physically challenged persons have to step out like him and set examples for all the able bodied people.

Thanks a ton for your response. Yes i completely agree to u on this point that unless and until we come across such people in our life we never realize how lucky and blessed we are being physically fit and able. The way these people have developed the will power, i think no challenge can ever pose any serious problems for them. They have been fighting all through their lives and that has made them even more stronger from inside.

people with disabilities rely on their mind to do things so the man you interviewed simply uses his mind's eyes to see and relate with things around

Thanks a ton for your response. Well yes u are right, he has been using his mind's eyes and doing things that is far more stronger and clearer than our normal eyes. He might not have seen the beautiful world around him but whatever he has achieved so far is just phenomenal and beyond imagination. I was lucky enough that i interviewed him and in the process realized how lucky we abled people are but still we complain and have so many regrets in our life.

Hello Subhojit,
People who are differently abled have strong will power developed over the years due to hardships and challenges they face in their everyday life. Such people are an inspiration to society. Strong will power and confidence can win you anything you are determined about.

Thanks a ton for your response. Yes i completely second u on this thought that differently abled people are having so much of will power and aggression in them that it drives them to overcome any number of challenges in their whole life without even complaining about the same. They are indeed inspirational for all of us and we all need to take some lessons from him and learn how to stay content and happy with what we have.
