I enjoyed the movie karate kid 2010 but didn't like the ending too much. felt too cheesy. Wanted so badly to see the arrogant kung fu instructor get a whooping but never happened. Actually, the movie makers did shoot a scene where both of them fought right after Dre won the competition, but think they decided not to include it in the final edit. The scene was considered violent . Too bad,i like this ending better than the original..but i guess i can understand why they chose to remove it. Would you have preferred this scene in the ending of the movie or the do you think it was a good choice to edit this outl.. http://www.sportales.com/martial-arts/karate-kid-2010-alternate-ending-to-movie/

I love the ending and wouldn't change it , but I would love to see the deleted version you are talking about . I would have like to see that instructor get a beat down also , he deserved it . I dont see how they could consider it too violent ? Jakie movies are mostly age appropriate .

Wow that's some classic Jackie Chan stuff and shows that he can do as crazy moves at his old age as he used to do when he was younger. I was hoping i would see stuff like that in the movie but the scenes included weren't this wild. big thumbs up for Jackie. On the other hand I think this is even cheesiest ending and doesn't go well in tune with the rest of the movie that tries to be a bit more realistic. How is this scene considered violent I don't understand because there were more violent scenes in the same film that show a kid getting beat up.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Yes u are right, sometimes it becomes unfair to edit and remove certain crucial portions from a movie that could otherwise added spice to the story. i have also watched many movies that has been deprived of certain scenes simply because they depicted excess violence and promotes voyeurism. I think they should allow this in such a way that it would look as if it is not the edited one. What say?
