after last week, they are lost from Norwich city in EPL match.. and now in the midweek, weeks 3 of champions league, they are lost again and now it happens in their home.. it`s not like Wenger want that his squad can make this games as mommentums from the previous game (against Norwich city) The bad news for Arsenal fans..( i believe here there are many arsenal fans)... Arsenal waste many chances for scoring in the games..and Affelay again becomes hero for Schalke (i ever remember one mylot member said that he hopes that affelay can`t play good in this game, and his hope is true..Affelay is one of the scorer in the game) Gervinho waste good chance (minute 10) when his shooting is widely..The effort of Santi Cazorla only hit the body of Schalke player Schalke of course gives fighting too..Klass Jan Huntelaar waste good chance (minute 43) when crossing of Uchida comes to him,and his shoots is widely But Huntelaar didn`t waste his next chance..minute 76, he beat Vito Manonne...1-0 for the Guest And Affelay continue crossing of farfan and nothing can be done by Vito..he can`t save his post..2-0 for the Guest Santi Cazorla miss good chance when his shoot can be saved by Lars Unnestal Wenger must evaluate again his squad.. Starting Line up ARSENAL: Mannone, Jenkinson (Gnabry 83), Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Santos, Coquelin, Arteta, Ramsey, Podolski (Arshavin 83) Cazorla, Gervinho (Giroud 76) SCHALKE: Unnerstall, Uchida, Howedes, Matip, Fuchs, Neustadter, Hoeger (Jones 46), Afellay, Holtby (Barnetta 65), Farfan, Huntelaar (Marica 88)

While this game was running, I have watched Dortmund-Real, but have also switched some times to Arsenal-Schalke. Whenever I have switched there, Schalke was attacking and based on the statistics also, Schalke was way better than Arsenal. Every team has weaker periods during a season, but it is important to recover as soon as possible, and it seems Arsenal has did it, now they have 2 victories in a row, the last one with Reading being one of the most spectacular comebacks in the recent history of football.

Yes, this was a great game, and I wish to witness more games like this, because games like this made football such a popular sport. A victory cannot be sweater than this, and I envy Arsenal fans a lot for what they have just felt.

Another game where the players seems to lack the will or passion to win. They just played the game without enough precision in the final third. On the other hand, Schalke played a very smart game and kept hitting Arsenal with their counter attack. Again this was another game which was proof that Santos is not fit to play for Arsenal. He was time and again exploited and was responsible for both the goals. He is good at attacking, but then does not get back to do his primary job which is defending. Cheers! Ram

I think Affelay is a good player. But the problem at Barcelona is that they have such a strong midfield, that it is very difficult for anyone to break into the squad. So it is actually a good move for him to move to Schalke. Cheers! Ram

I don't think that Gervinho is not trustful. His body is great and he really loves shooting. But he is definitely bad at shooting. If you put him in the winger place, he could use his body well but it seems that he's bad at strategies. He need to use not only his body in playing soccer for a team like Arsenal but also his brain. Giroud is a great striker. He had a good performance is the match against West Ham and the World Cup Qualification between Spain and France. But he still need to be more confident and his shooting techniques are not so good too. His running is smart but he could not do anything when the middle fielders failed to support him. Cazorla's performance is bad in this 2 games. For 04, I don't know why they don't use Teemu Pukki, he's an excellent player. He got much fewer time than Marica but got more goals in the last season. If 04 doesn't want to use him, they should sell him as he could have a good future if being used appropriately by the coach.

From the two matches, it is very clear that Arsenal is in need of a striker. Not to say Giroud ain't good but before he came on, the Gunners is basically playing without a true striker. Gervinho keeps drifting to the flank even thou he is suppose to be the striker. As a result, for a few times when the crosses came in, there is no one in the box. Also, they are playing with four central midfielders. There is no width at all and even when on the rare occasion, there isn't anyone in the box. I don't know but I got a feeling that they are trying to play like Spain and Barcelona, without any strikers. But Arsenal midfielders does not have the eye for goals and unless Wenger do something real fast, change formation or to add in new additions in January, then it will be another season where they will return empty-handed.
