I don't think I'm being un-American

There are so many occasions to sing "God bless America." In the 7th inning it has always been "Take me out to the ballgame." I miss that. It's OK even if you do both which I've seen before. But the 7th inning stretch is supposed to be "take me out to the ballgame. Anyone agree?

I am not to thrilled with them singing "God Bless America" in the 7th inning. We started doing it after 9/11 and have ever since. It was like a healing tool after 9/11. It shows we have pride in America and we are still here! I know at Wrigley Field they sing "Take me out to the ballpark". I am not sure if it is before the 7th inning but they still do. I doubt they will stop "God Bless American" anytime soon.

I couldnt agreer with you more. Now are you serious they are playing god bless america then? Dont you do the pledge in the begining of every baseball came anyways? At least i thought you did and its not right to do it again in the secenth inning when there is a purpose for the 7th inning and its like a wake up call and stretch and get ready for two more inning if not more if there is over time well i guess its just us who doesnt get it LOL.

I agree 100%. At The Nationals games, Washington D.C.'s baseball club, That plays In d.C. sings Take me Out to the Ballgame. Whenever they sing G-d Bless America at other ballparks I change the channel.
