I have been very honored to meet quite a few in my lifetime. I met Lou Diamond Phillips in Kings Bay, Georgia. His band (he has one you know) was playing a venue there, the Shrimp Festival and after they were done, they came into a bar I happened to be at. There was a swimwear contest going on and I was one of the judges. He came in and sat right down at the judges table with us! It was amazing and he was such a great guy! How about you guys?

I met James Worthy (NBA Lakers player) by chance at LAX (Los Angeles Airport) in the early nineties. I think he was already retired from the NBA then, and we just happened to wait for the same domestic flight to the East Coast. I was in the waiting lounge when he walked in and he sat a couple seats next to me. I recognized him straight away, and we exchanged some 'Hi'. He was very nice and down to earth which encouraged me to ask for an autograph which he willingly obliged.

Yes I have met some famous people in my time. I once bet George Takie whoever you spell his last name from the original 1960s Star Trek.he was so nice and funny. he was at a convention i went to with my husband. I tried to do the vulcan hand shake but told him i couldnt get my fingers to do it and he laughed and showed the way to do it lol. he was such a nice sweet guy. Met Peter Mayhew the guy that was in the chewbacca suit in the star wars movies. Also a very nice guy but kind of quiet. Met Mark singer from the movie Beast Master and the mini series of the 80's V. nice as well. I even met for a book signing of his my rock idol Sammy Hagar. Now with the others i was able to speak to them and laugh and what not all nice, but with Sammy Hagar who i've wanted to meet for yrs i got so tounge tied all i could say was awesome awesome twice about his book. On the other hand my hubby had a conversation with him lol. He was wearing his work chef jacket from the chase park plaza hotel since he was a chef there at the time. and Sammy asked him so your a chef at the Chase and hubnby said yes Sammy said i remember the place nice to meet you and shook hubby's hand. Sammy loves to cook and he was glad my hubby did too lol. so I have met some very nice famous people and then some not so nice and the not so nice ones i dont remember as well lol. Except for Melody Anderson from the Flash movie she wasnt too nice she was rude and acted as if nobody cared about her. When it came time for question and answers with her she said if anyone cares im melody Anderson and she sounded pissed. so yes some good famous people and some bad ones.

redredrose-that is so cool! Sammy Hagar was awesome! Loved his music! I've met quite a few others too. You like music...well I was in Columbia, SC. My husband was a musician (played lead guitar)and we were staying at a hotel there. After the gig at the club, we were back at the hotel and got on the elevator. There was a group of guys on the elevator heading up to the same floor we were on. We struck up a conversation and found out they were the 'roadies' for a famous band there and invited us up to meet them. We thought it was so cool! Got up there and the lead singer walks out of the shower with just a towel. Of course my mouth feel open and my husband laughed! Oh, the band...Kiss...the guy in the towel, Paul Stanley!

I have never met some people who are really big because I don't really go anywhere, but I do know a lot of local celebrities. I watch some sport in my home town, and the people who play for the team are around the town and we can speak to them a lot of the time. I know that this is not something that a lot of people would be impressed with, but I think that they are great and I feel as though it is good that people are able to speak to them around the town because they are some of the people look up to these players.

Oh no, I agree...these people are very important because you are right, people look up to them as role models. It gives young people in your town someone to aspire to be or be like. It's also nice to be able to 'rub elbows' with the town celebrities!

Well I saw some of our local celebrities in some mall but I am quite hesitant to come closer to them,Two days ago, together with a colleague, we saw one of our senator who went out from a bank near the office.

With what I do I have been fortunate and met quite a few political figures. I know Congressman Graves quite well along with one of our state Senators Bill Heath, plus several of the House of Representatives here. Fortunately they are all pretty good people and I'm glad to have them represent us.

Wow good for you. I know that Lou is a Filipino of Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Hawaiian descent and I'm proud to be a Filipino. (just a trivia) For me, I met this basketbsll star which many of us idolizes not only for his acrobatic acts but good behavior in and out of the court. He is my idol since I was a kid and I hope that I could be like him, one way or the other. I may follow his footsteps, not on basketball, because there is no way I could be like him now becasue of my age. But I can be a successful businessman just like him. Thanks
