2 days back i had replied to a post which is about whether u can create two account in mylot or not. i was arguing that u can create two accounts and i was thinking on one side with out giving importance to other....guess what..my mylot reputation had fallen more than 10 points with that stroke... my lesson : if you are to argue be ready to get hits (negative)...

Maybe the best lesson should be: If you are to argue be equipped with the right information and not just an opinion. And if you cant make them agree with you then move on to the next topic, we are not here to preach anyway..

Next time I will gear up myself with proof. I may still think about arguing for it as a hit in my reputation. For a long time I was trying to go to 7 and now I can fall to 5.

ally I suggest that you read the FAQs too and there you will see that myLot tell us that: "The Discussion Rating Sysstem is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community." http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx

dont worry kai I think our number has nothing to do with our earnings, if you are so worried of your reputation then you can still work for it.

I can't agree with your last statement. does that mean that you are going to neg rate me? Let em give you an example, hoping that you will understand. A fact is a fact and there is absolutely nothing to argue about. Like, you know that the moon is round and not made of cheese, even though youhave never been there. There i no point in arguing that it isn't. In the same way, if you have read myLot's Terms there is no point in arguing about something that is written there and is made perefectly clear. That is what you were doing on the other topic and therefore it was also blatantluy obvious that your star would suffer for it. By almeans argue but only when you have prrof of what you are saying and two legs to stand on.

I saw that topic. I participated in it too and I saw that admin arribed and cleared things up too I saw what you said. I also realise that you do not use English as your first language. I advise you to read through your posts before submitting them and ask yourself if you have made things clear or whether people could misinterpret them. Then, if there is a next time, you might get your point across better.

Why should I rate u neg!!! I rate only when I dislike or like it, most of them may have disliked my argument so star as a hit. In it I argued that one can create two accounts from same computers, as you have seen about the reply, there are 5 accounts and are used by five different members. so what i was arguing isn't wrong but the way i was arguing is wrong, i should have been more detail and direct in details like above reply which says about 5 accounts. I was also keeping on insisting that if you have more than one account it's better to contact admin to prevent problems.

Once we start arguing it turns negative at most of the times...argument is something you think is wrong while another is wrong...so one can expect the negative reaction from it but not arguing will put in closed situations for sure.

I know two account is not allowed in mylot may be both are deleted or one is deleted. I remember here one mylotter open the account with his wife and himself. both account is deleted by mylot. I am ready for argue but I want to suggest create only one account and pay full attention on that account.

I think we talking about this discussion: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2713654.aspx I little bit surprise when I saw GAA also involved in that discussion which mean we talking something serious (mostly about Mylot itself) Actually on that discussion, question itself already answer in FAQ's and guidelines but somehow you didn't read it clearly. When we arguing something who already state in those place, some people might rate us down.

I saw that discussion and stayed away from it figuring it would get deleted for some violation or other. Your argument was completely wrong but I would've never marked you negative for it. Might have hit the report button but I'm usually too busy for that. Incidentally there are five myLot users in our household with accounts. We run on a wireless network so myLot has a difficult time detecting all the computers separately. We tried to do everything correctly as per the guidelines affiliating all the accounts accurate but still had to email admin because a couple were frozen. They were very helpful. I understand the need to enforce the rules and once they understood what we were doing there hasn't been a problem since. Play within the rules and you'll get along here just fine.

We should always be sure of whatever we tell others before even telling them what is on our minds so that we could not be in trouble. Lesson from Mylot.....I guess the perfect lesson I had is to respect the opinion of others ALL THE TIME. Most especially if you were the one who started a discussion, then you should openly accept their views on what you have said and not to antagonize them. We have different views on things and it is only proper to take all of them in a positive way.
