The Mersey side derby is going to be the pick of this weekend's fixtures. This season Everton is the top club, with Liverpool trying to play catch up with them. Everton is probably having one of it's best starts to the season and is currently sitting pretty at 4th in the EPL table. Liverpool on the other hand has had another troublesome start to the season and are currently lying 12th in the table, but have scored a win in their last match.
I think this might turn out to be one of the most competitive mersey side derbies in recent memory. Who do you pick to win this one?
Cheers!

The way you describe it I fear Liverpool is doomed. I think it will be a 3-0 Everton win!

Nah!! As I mentioned earlier, Liverpool these days is a big match team. They play well in big matches and against big opponents. Also, derbies are less about current form and lot more about emotions on the day. I think it will be a yo-yo battle all the way through.
Cheers!

I would like to say that I'm sure Liverpool are sure to win being a Liverpool fan but I can't.I could never say that when
Liverpool were doing better in the league, I definitely can't say that this season. It's Liverpool's worst start to a season for about 50 years or more and one of the best starts to a season for Everton but I'm pretty confident Liverpool can get something out of the match.I'm definitely going to watch the match I'm going to go to a local match where a load of Liverpool fans to hang out whenever there's a match.

There is no favorite in derby games. Both teams will always fight tooth and nail. We will always see many yellow or even red cards in derby matches. Liverpool may be in the 12th position in the league table now and Everton is in the 4th but that has no bearing at all in the coming match. Remember when Liverpool was the stronger team in the league but it was Everton who always got something out of the Merseyside derbies.
I think it will be a draw.
