Soon after graduating from college, I get a job as a teacher. As do not have any teaching skills, I find it hard to fit my job now. When I was a student, I do not like teachers tell me dos and don'ts, I like to find out the rules by myself. But now I find that if I do not tell my students what the dos and don'ts, they always do not know how to do things by themselves. I need some help.

To many teachers, if they make their class vivid and fun, in most cases, their students may often break rules. Your Chinese teacher is really a very good teacher, he must be a good model for all of you, so that you will love him and obey his rules.

The best kind of teacher, is the kind that teaches. At some school many teachers arent allowed to teach. They are given books, and lesson plans and must follow them. Thats why I have my son in a private school. There they teach what they have learned in,life.

If a teacher only teach his/her student directly following the books or lesson plans, it must very boring in his/her class. In most cases, students can not get enough knowledge and skills from that kind of study. To add some thing more interesting and more pratical is very important. But in most public school, it is easy for teacher to follow the plans while hard for them to add something out of the book. As a teacher to teach engineering lessons, I think it is very important for me to add more practical projects into my class.

I don't want a strict teacher for me at all. I would like to have a teacher which helps me in my studies just like a friend. Being strict will not only make me afraid of her but also restrict me to ask questions to her when I have problems. Teacher should be someone to whom we don't hesitate to ask our problems when we have any.

I want a teacher who is approachable and willing to entertain questions. I don't want a teacher who is too strict and teach very fast. He/she should explains his/her lessons very well. He/she should not be too strict but enough to be respected by the students. Good day!

Hi, Dandan, welcome aboard to the education world. I am a teacher myself and I always love this job. You know, I used to hate being a teacher when I was at school. Not because my teachers always told me to do this and not do that; I just didn't like it. But once I stepped on my class and looked at my students' face, I knew I love this job. Moreover when they gather around me, and I hug them (for little students), it will always be the best moment. Look, teaching is an art. The art of sharing our knowledge. The art of making them understand. The art of educating. I think the key is that you must not become the teachers you hate. Be your students' friend. Be there when they need you, help anytime they need you, hang out with them sometimes, build the bond with your students. Once you have their hearts, it will be very easy to tell them the do's and don't's. I have practiced the same method for nine years and it always works out. Well, I must say not all students will like you, but if you keep this method, hopefully none of them will hate you. At least they will listen to you. I think this is what I can share so far. Hope it helps. Good luck.

I think certain boundaries are needed when inside the classroom because though students think that they know everything there is, that is not always the case. There would be students who have the ability to pin point what must be done without given the full instructions, yet these exceptional students are just part of the class. Students in general find themselves confused on what is going-on, they may seem to comprehend everything but try asking them individually you'll know that half of the class has no idea on what has been happening before their eyes. As teachers we should be able to find these weaknesses of the students then work on those for you to be effective. Teachers are always be the one to adjust when in comes to teaching, we can not have a mind-set that because we know certain things students will to, because at the very essence of a student they are the learners and needs our out-most attention in educating them on how to work on life. Although, teachers must provide rules, they should provide the reasons behind those rules for the students not to feel that they are being controlled, especially high-school students, they don't like being boxed or contained. I hope I make sense.

I prefer to have a fair teacher because it is really annoying that the teachers treat students differently. They can judge you differently and I sometimes even think this is a discrimination.

I think that teachers get a lot of bad press from students, because it is in the nature of teenagers to want to rebel away from people who are telling them what they should and shouldn't be doing. I am the type of person who is perfectly well behaved but has to be able to get on well with the person who I am being taught by. I am not good with the teachers who try to exert too much control over their students, but I do know that this type of thing is completely necessary sometimes or they won't be able to do their job properly.

A good teacher, is good at teaching . Not only about the subjects, but also about a thing or two about life. A good teacher should now when to interfere or not with his students. You should always be helpful even if the student doesn't want your help.. since they can be shy sometimes.

I remember my teacher when I was in grade school where she was so patient about everything, that we even cry when we graduated. In school, she always provide us tips on how to makes things better and fast. Also, she always reminds us to be nice and humble at all times to others and have the time to pray for thanksgiving and for forgiveness. She is so close to perfect. Though she scolds us with valid reasons. She was like a mother to us. Thanks
