Jose Rizal is incomparable!

the hero is incomparable - no politician today can be compared to this man.

Most specially if you are into Philippines and it's history. This is the second time ignorance were shown and insulted our National Hero. I think they need to look at the history of such Popular Filipino people before they can compare it to HIM. But this isn't the first time it happened. First it was CNN, when they compared Manny Pacquiao to Jose Rizal. Now, it's the Australia's Public servant comparing him with PNOY! Let me tell every one here, Manny Pacquiao and Noynoy Aquino is NOWHERE being equal to the National Hero of this country. if you know the history of Jose Rizal compare to the history of these two, nothing matches the National HERO. It's like comparing the Nation's Heros with a Politician/ Entertainer You wanna know the real Heroes of this ERA I can tell you, it's the OFWS!

Jose Rizal is a hero. Manny Pacquiao is a boxer and representative and of course Pnoy is the president.

Indeed True! Okay fine they are all brought an honor here in our country but still it doesn't mean that a boxer and a President is a national hero too that can be like Rizal. It is natural that Manny Pacquiao defeated his opponent in competition of boxing but it doesn't mean that he is already comparable with Rizal. Wheewww!!! that is totally funny.

They must have not intended to insult or denigrate the value of our national hero, Jose Rizal. Manny Pacquiao is a hero, he brought us recognition in the field he proved Filipinos are good of. Pnoy is also our hero for reform in the government although he still have to prove many things. He still have 3 years to redeem the country from extreme poverty and equitable distribution of opportunity to all the citizens. One thing I beg to disagree is that OFWs are our heroes. They are not heroes. How could a hero turn his back from servitude to his own nation? That is not the kind of act meaning HEROISM. They were there to work, not to become heroes. Right at the first moment they found out the opportunity to work overseas, their motives is to do work and earn something to support their families back home. Although this is my opinion is not dispensable that OFWs have served as heroes as a result of their remittances. They saved the country from further devaluation of our currency. The more they send, they higher is the price of Philippine peso thus, saving much in buying imported products because they would have to pay less.

Hello Danzylop, I think when they start giving their remittances to the relatives and the tax deducted, it's a huge deal already to the economy. you know that our country can't give enough jobs to every one, and not all of them have connections that's why they are forcing to go to other country. My dad happens to be one of them, he still wants to work but as his age won't fit because he's beyond 50+ now. for me, their heroes, right now, it's not every body's future to remain here.

You're right. Even though they brought honor to our country, I don't think they had made such a big sacrifice as to be compared to Rizal, or for that matter, to any of our heroes. Our migrant workers are more deserving to be accorded that. Although for me, our blue-collared workers - those cleaning the sewers, collecting the garbage, working the fields - jobs which most people, including myself, are too proud to do are my heroes as well.

Hello beamer88, If they have the balls and decency to respect and love our national hero they should respond to the notion of being not worthy of being compared to the Hero of our nation. yes, those people including yourself are heroes for working hard for our country. we all do our best to follow his example.

They have to keep it in mind that Rizal became national hero because of how he fought for our country in different manner, not by punching all of his opponents. Being winner in sports is not heroism but an achievement for being the greatest competitor.

Hello Metatronik, I don't know how and why they got balls to intervene in our history, they have no right to dictate to us what is right to describe whom is our hero.Manny is just an entertainer but he's a hero too in a way to help some people but never compare to Jose Rizal. they were just plain arrogant

I wish just like Rizal I can speak 22 languages and date women all over Europe.... Aside from being a hero, He should be the role model for Asian American men, apparently in the US Asian Men are at the bottom of the dating pyramid, they struggle the most to have a girlfriend. If they can be emulate Rizal's intelligence, articulation and charm, they can get their ways with the ladies.

Hello estremms, if they knew the deeper history of the Aquino family, they wouldn't compare him to Jose Rizal. the movie showned in youtube shows that Noynoy's ancester Melchora Aquino stole the Revolutionary Money of the First Philippine GOvt and became Rich all of a sudden. as for manny, he's a famous boxer!
