what do you mylotters say to this? weeks after Guardiola has gone, Barca is still the enigma they were. there have been no major changes. it seems Barca and Messi can play without even a coach. anyone agree with me?

I agree that Barca are superb even without Guardiola but not without a manager. A manager is a man that can change the strategy of a game and can spot the weakness in the opposition team. Messi is a great player but he is just a player, and a bunch of great players also can do nothing if they can't predict the gameplay. So, in my oppinion, Barca need a great manager to manage them, and Tito is good replacement for them.

I doubt so. Actually Barca has a nice tradition of promoting people from the inside. That is why Tito Villoneva has taken over with minimal impact on the team. The team still plays the same attractive game that it used to play under Guardiola. I think this should be a lesson for a lot of other clubs which run behind big name managers without looking to promote people from within. Cheers! Ram

thanks, ram_cv. most clubs have the tradition of promoting players from within. many persons say that the Barca tradition though is unique. Man.U has the same tradition as Barca.

messi is a class act and i dont think they need a coach going by the prime form in which they are playing now

i think they will need a coach. eventually, some smart coach like Mourinho will discover what makes them tick and then start plugging in the rights stops here and there. what happens when a team without a coach cannot see what the opposition is doing? what i wanted to say is that they have done exceptionally in Guardiola's absence that one wonders if Guardiola was really behind Barca's success.

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well yes u are absolutely right, even without a coach the Barca team is very much playing like a team and that shows their team spirit and the unity among the players in spite of the fact that they do not have a coach who will motivate them in case they are in trouble or are at the loosing end. I think a coach should be arranged for them so that they can be guided even more better than the previous time but with experienced players like Messi in the team they will surely do well even if that demands playing without a coach. What say?

genius exist everywhere. genius exist in Messi and Ronaldo, but Messi is too exceptional. Barca and Messi combination is something like a phenomenon. I think soccer lovers are waiting for when the romance will end; they always do. The Galacticos ruled the soccer world for a long time but one day, it all came to an end because money spoils everyone's fun eventually.
