i noticed as to my observations, that some members here go for shorter discussions rather reading longer ones. well, i used to had long story once or twice, but to my disappointment, never received any reply comments for that and to say i am relating an interesting story about a gay. since then i always tried to write shorter length of paragraphs and concise it to two or three nonetheless.
why? what are the reasons why most of us hate to read long stories here? what about U?

Hi missjahn..
I have read many super long discussions up to the last word.
First, I look into the title, then browse the first sentences and then it goes down to the last. Sometimes, if the first sentences are interesting, I continue reading them up to the last. So I think the length of the discussion doesn't matter.
Maybe your topic was interesting but not to some people here.
I don't know if I can consider some of my discussions as long. But I think they just belong to the middle, not so short and not so long.

oh yes, and agree with you, some readers would like to read based on their taste that is why they categorized it. i guess that factor is the hindrance or the other way why a member do response or not in a certain discussion. but on the other hand, there are really type of person who used to look at the length and not the content of it. but for me, when i am in the mood, if i like the discussion even at the title itself, i will going to read it whole then response. but like now, i am a bit tired, i will go to shorter one... hehe
so thanks for responding it here :)

hello capirani..
sometimes i do not read the whole paragraphs. i just need to get the gist of the discussion or yet better if i can relate with the title itself. that is why, when i gave a title to my discussion, i see to it that they can get the main topic and that if they do not like to read, they can still make reply comments if they are interested.
thanks :O) for joining here :)

hi missjahn I will read long ones if I anm inbterested in them or its a derar friend herel I am older and am not in the text generation so I do not use y for why or kwim for know what I mean. so I am not as much of a huyrry as you young people are . Most of you are cell phone addicts so anything over two para raphs is too long phooey on that. I write whatever my topic calls for and if people do not like it go on by as I have plenty of friends.A lot of ti mes you all miss some really good discussions because you d not want t read anything over six sentences,. I think thats a bit picky ,

Im from young generation and using my cellphone most of the time to participate on mylot when Im away from laptop or cannot connect to computer, when Im in queue in bank or in mall I can mylotting using my cellphone but I dont have problem reading a long discussion or posting a long response and I dont like to shortened my word like using y for why and so on. I think people just use anything as excuse. It is not the age, it is not the device they are using, but it is depends on the mentality of the person.

hello madam...
oh yes, hehe... being picky so to call it... i guess, it is the members choice what to respond to. for me, there were times that i were tired and not in the mood to read. but to tell you honestly, if it is yours, i will read it with effort so to understand what is the gist of your story so that i can reply to it accordingly...
so thanks madam for coming here :) owe you

hello fashion...
i do not prefer to be in mylot using cellphone. maybe because of the gadget being used, that is why. i hate touch screen on my cellphone. i often had typos. so when i used my cellphone, it was just for browsing and to make, response discussion in it, for it was just a grrrr for me..
so thanks :)

I am perfectly happy with either a long or short discussion. The main criterion for me is the content, so if it takes several paragraphs then I shall happily read several paragraphs and then respond.
I suppose that many members are here mainly to earn, so they would prefer a shorter discussion in order to move on to another quickly.

you have a point. it is sensible enough as to remark it. well, we have our own style how to understand or in getting the gist of any discussion. we follow our own systematic as we believe to have to do the reading understandably. so thanks for joining :)

I prefer discussions that have some meat to them, meaning they are not just simple one or two line discussions because for me those don't really constitute an actual discussion. The word discussion itself implies that there is something there to discuss and if people only write one or two lines just to be posting something to get the money, then it doesn't qualify as a discussion at all. You can often tell who is posting just to be posting for the money and not really for the participation.
Then, I am a wordy person too. I like words and using words. So my discussions and responses tend to be longer.
Finally, for me personally to respond to a discussion, it has to be about something I am interested in and have something to say. Also, if it would be something that I might end up feeling that the discussion may turn into an argument, then I don't post at all. I don't like to get involved in discussions that may hurt someone else's feelings either so I avoid certain topics that may be considered controversial.

i agree with you and so as a story that you can relate. i guess the title of the discussion would magnet you to reply to it. well, if can relate and have a story to tell, that would be the time that my discussion will be stated lengthier and if have nothing to say. so thanks for responding here :)

I actually prefer a longer discussion as it makes it easier to do a longer length response. As the more the discussion description contains the more there is to talk about in my response. When I come across a long discussion I start reading it if I don't find it interesting after about the first five lines I stop reading but if I like the first few lines I continue reading and respond. Its the interestingness is what gets me to respond to a discussion not the length of a discussion.Though if I am tired I may not have the concentration to read a long discussion.

i agree with you, that if the discussion is longer, there, it will give you an idea where to begin your reply comments. and that if your discussions stopped with few words, there is no more much elaboration to it and then you do know what to say. sometimes there is good thing we can get from a lengthy discussion rather than short ones. but i guess, not to some

Hope our mood is always the same with the responder.
