Man City and Arsenal put in real sluggish performances, but managed to win and get the three points to move into the top four. Arsenal were faced by a brilliant Julio Cesar who stopped everything thrown at him, before controversially Arteta scored a scrappy goal very late in the game to seal all three points for Arsenal. There was a suspicion of offside on this goal. On the other hand, Man City were equally lackluster against a fighting Swansea side and had a wonder strike from Carlos Tevez to thank for their 1-0 win. With these wins, Man City moves into the 2nd spot while Arsenal move into the 4th spot to set up a great Super Sunday tomorrow. Cheers! Ram

No, they don't play each other, but the others who are contenders for the top 4 are. One match is Chelsea vs. Man United and the other is Everton vs. Liverpool. It is going to be a Super Sunday. I am just hoping the matches live up to the hype. Cheers! Ram

So far it has been a fantastic match with both sides tied at 2-2. Liverpool went 2-0 up within the first 20 minutes. Then Everton came back to equalize with two good goals. Let's see if anyone can get a winner in this one. Cheers! Ram

A good win for Arsenal. Regardign the goal, I don't think it was offside. Why? Because the ball wasn't pass to him by Arsenal player. To be in an offside, the ball must be played by any Arsenal players intentionally to him. So for me the goal is valid goal.

In fact the ball was passed to him. It hit his head onto the post and at that moment he was offside. Then the ball came back of the post, then another player and back to Arteta. At the point he was not offside and scored the goal. I saw the replay around 5-6 times. The only thing that is not clear though is whether outside the D whether any of the opposing players were playing him on as the video was covering only the D, but I very much doubt it. Cheers! Ram

When Arshavin cross the ball, Giroud head the ball and Arteta in front of him but Arteta was play offside by Mackie. Julio Cesar save and it was tried to be clear by the QPR defender but rebound back to Arteta. So it wasn't played or pass by Arsenal player to Arteta. SO there is a case that is wasn't offside because the ball wasn't pass by an Arsenal player to Arteta. There is also possibility Arteta was play onside by Mackie because there are some view that he was running upfield when the goal happen.

I think so long they win , no matter how they win it, it is still a 3 point yea. Congrats to both Manchester City and Arsenal but i am more concern with Chelsea vs Manchester United and how would Manchester United try to halt the league leader Chelsea with defensive problem and the back four !! surely a match to watch tonight.

Yes, given what happened during the mid week, both managers would gladly take the 3 points. Cheers! Ram

For the third match in a row, Arsenal were very flat when moving forward. Yes, Cesar did tried his best to single-handedly keep Arsenal at bay but the Gunners is clearly lacking both penetration and confidence. In the end, they won due to a offside goal. With the match at Old Trafford coming up, I am having a serious doubt if they can return home with even a point.

Yes, the match against Man United will be a stern test. But, something tells me that probably this poor run so far might get the team to shoot above itself in the next match against Man United. Go Gunners!! Cheers! Ram
