Hey guys, i remember that i was in Class 6, when i got the only slap on my face in my life so far by my teacher. It so happened that we had our History classes and i was constantly being poked by my female class mate who was sitting at my back. She was pointing the pen to my back and poking it against me and was disturbing me. Suddenly she cracked a joke and we both laughed loudly by mistake and we were caught red handed by our teacher and he gave me and my friend a very tight slap on our face and it was so terrible that our cheeks grew red. To make it even worse, he instructed both of us to stay out of the class for an hour. Such was the pathetic condition! But whenever i remember such an incident i always burst out laughing. What are your thoughts on this? Were u ever beaten at school by your teacher or by your parents? Please do share your thoughts!

I was always behaved since grade 1 to college, so I didn't have any experienced like you've experienced. However, when I became a teacher, It was me who threw my reference book to my students because they didn't listen to my discussion. Then I punished them by picking garbage throughout the campus. After this incident, the students became my friend outside the campus. Well, I am not a teacher now, I left my profession since I left my country.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Well that sounds really scary and i know some students would have been scared with your act. I think it is too difficult to control the naughty students and no matter how loud u behave with them they will never mend their ways. Besides we often lose our temper while controlling the students even if we do not like being violent with others. U r not a teacher now? What is your current profession then? What say?

Thanks a ton for your response again. Well that is very good of u that u have taken up a very good profession. Nursing profession is as pious and pure as teaching job and i hope u are having a good time. Even many of my friends are into nursing and they said that they feel great to serve people and i know even u will have the same feeling. All the best!

At least you got yourself a reward for behaving badly in the class, that is a good hand on lesson you get to learn in attending school. The experience keep you in discipline and learn to respect your classmate and teacher rights to learn and teach in school, the fact that school classroom is not a place for you to fun around, it is a place for learning for everyone. I am sure the fond memory of that teacher is hard to erase from your mind, he is no doubt a very strict educator and time spend in his class is hard to go by, i fully understand your feeling, i have the same experience too in my golden years, receive punishment from teacher for bad behavior in class is nothing new to me, i am not particularly proud of that either, it is mainly my youthful bad judgment that get me into trouble with my teacher in my class room. hehehe....

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Well yes u are absolutely right, that slap experience is still alive and fresh in my memory. as i have mentioned in my discussion that i have accepted my mistake for that day and it was correct on my teacher's side to slap me. it served as a good lesson for me as well. I have always respected all my teachers and their actions till now. What say?

Teachers who does something like that is not tolerated n our country. The teacher always either gets suspended or literally kicked out from the school. Did your parents know about it? Why didn't you make a move to let the school know about what your teacher did to you.

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Well jenny, i strongly feel that it was my mistake and there was no fault of this teacher. I was the only one who should be held responsible for that incident. He was just trying to do his part of teaching and because of my short disturbance he had to loose his anger. I think even i would have done the same in his place. I had apologized the very next moment to him. What say?

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. He he he, that was really a funny incident and i think u should be grateful to that examiner for being so kind that he did not punish u for sleeping during the exams as i have seen how strict examiners are during the exams. I can understand that it must be terrible for u to give that exams as u were feeling sleepy. I cannot believe that u passed the exams also. What say?

Thanks a ton for your valuable response. Well that is really funny to here and i know it must have been embarrassing to be caught by the teacher while listening to music especially inside the class with so many of your friends giving u a different look altogether. He he he. I think there was no fault with the teacher either, her duty was to teach and how could she tolerate any student listening to music while she is giving her lectures in the classroom. What say?

Thanks a ton for sharing your valuable response. he he he, who would not have feared u if they were warned by the principal. In fact teachers should never slap students otherwise they might take it in a negative way. In fact after that slap i did not complain as i believed that it was my mistake then. May i know the reason why u were slapped by the teacher during your board exams? What say?

It's great that you've overcome that incident. I mean, I've heard a lot of stories about children being traumatized by similar incidents like this - teachers meting out corporal punishment for bad behavior in school, and such. I was very fortunate that the school I attended had strict policies against teachers 'hurting' the students. They'll lose their jobs if they do.

Thanks a ton for your response. Well yes i do not consider it as a black day in my life as i had done the mistake that day and suffered due to my immaturity. But yes u are right that the way corporal punishment has reached a level where we get to hear so many traumatic news of children getting beaten up that something needs to be done to check it may be by having a very strict policy like the one that was present in your school. What say?

Not me but some of my classmates. I was always in the first row since I was one of the smallest in the class so I always tried to behave. One of our teacher thrown eraser to my classmate. The other teacher flipped the table due to anger. Pinching ears was the usual scenario in the class especially to those boys who has earrings and piercings.

Thanks a ton for your response. Well yes u are right, these small incidents are very much memorable in our lives and whenever we remember them, we burst out laughing about how we had irritated our teachers at the school. Great that u were a front bencher at school and that ruled out all possibilities of u getting noticed in a negative way by the teachers. Yes of course even ear pinching was very common among the students of my school. What say?

Thanks a ton for your response. Well i can understand your problem those days and i think it is very much a common thing with most of us during our school days. Glad to know that even if u guys were not good in class but still your female teacher never took that to her head and that is what teachers should be doing nowadays. Corporal punishment has increased sharply and something needs to be done to check it. What say?

I received not only slapped from one of my teacher when I was in high school. My Math teacher kicked my chair (it's not me whom he kicked hehehe)by reason I cannot remember. It's not allowed to do those spanking now a days.

Thanks a ton for your response. oh then u too had such a harrowing experience like me at school. Well it is always very nerve wrecking and scary to see the fury of the teachers as they are always uncertain what their next step gonna be after they are angry upon us. Well yes u are absolutely right, laws against corporal punishment has been passed in many countries and teachers resorting to it would be severely punished and fined. What say?

I can remember a time in high school when a teacher threw a chalkboard eraser across the class room and hit me. Guess I was talking to the boy I liked a little too loud and wasn't paying enough attention to the science lecture. It embarrassed me totally, and well about the boy I liked - I married him.

Thanks a ton for your response. Well ha ha ha, that was really a funny incident for u so much so that u will always remember that incident in your life. I think the chalkboard eraser must have hit u very hard but still the way u were so much involved in conversing with your love that time, i think the pain would have disappeared in no time. Glad to know that even though it was embarrassing for u then but still u proudly brag the fact that u married that guy eventually. What say?
