Hubby and I did it. We went out and got us each a Christmas present. He got me a brand new king size bed! No more queen size spring mattress!! :) I got him a hand crafted king size bed frame. The headboard has a Texas star in the middle of it. So, if all goes well, starting next weekend we should be sleeping a lot better. This is the first time we actually invested in a mattress and box spring. So we made this our Christmas present. I'm just glad I'm almost finished with Christmas shopping. Do you and your significant other spoil each other for special occassions???

Wow isn't it too early and i doubt the Christmas sales started already, just wondering why are you starting to shop so early ? Not very street smart in terms of shopping yea.

I can't stand big crowds. I hate shopping. So I'll get things that I know that will be appreciated and I usually get items on sale. Two days ago, I picked up 4 tops and a dress for my daughter and only spent $2! I shopped at a big store. As for the bed set, we had been looking around for the last 2 months. When a spring comes out and pokes you in the middle of your back, it's time to go. Since we had already been window shopping, we had been saving up the money. So it didn't hurt us as bad. We were both able to get something that we'll enjoy and won't have to replace for 20 years (hopefully).

Oh that would be a great early Christmas gift. I already had my early Christmas gifts shopping for my family last mega mall sale thi Month. Just took the oppurtunity to buy some gifts in cheaper and discounted price. I saved some money and bought nice presents for them.

That's great!! I had gone to Kohl's a few nights ago. I found 4 tops and a dress for my daughter. After using my Kohl's cash, I only had to $2. One of the tops and the dress will be her birthday present and the other 3 tops will be her Christmas presents.

Wow! How sweet! I'm sure you will be enjoying going to bed with the new bed. Well, I also have a husband who is sweet and never misses to give gifts during especial occasions. Have a happy Christmas Angel!

Yes, it was very enjoyable. I didn't want to get out of bed this morning. It was a very restful sleep, something I haven't had in years. Hubby really enjoyed his rest, as well. He's even helping get our room cleaned up more. He's getting decorating ideas for me!

I did not want to get out of bed this morning!! I slept so good. My hips and shoulder did not hurt. Hubby said he slept good as well. His neck wasn't hurting as bad as it had been. :) :)

Awww such a sweet gesture. Hubby and I havem't even started shopping yet. But I am sure he will be able to get me something I really like. I on the other hand, will have a hard time getting a gift for someone who can afford almost anything. Guess I'll just have to be more creative.

Sometimes it's been hard to find him a gift. There have been times where the kids and I have created things for him. One year, my daughter took a glass ash tray and decorated it. He uses it to empty his pockets daily. My son, took a wooden box and decorated it. My hubby now uses it to store his weapon. Maybe, there's something that you can take an ordinary object and fix it to do something different. Hope it helps.

I'm a bit envious of you . I can't start my Christmas shopping until I get my Christmas bonus, and we usually get that 2-3 weeks before Christmas day. But we do at times spoil each other on special occasions, sometimes spending a month's worth of salary just to buy a gift. It's only once a year. Well, three times a year - Christmas, birthdays, and anniversary. My wife and I are somewhat fond of receiving gifts, and sometimes we try to outdo one another just for fun though.

I understand that. I used to have to wait for my dad's Christmas money to start shopping. He always waits till the last minute, so I would have to wait even longer. This year, I had wanted to take advantage of all the hours I'd been working. Just picking up a little here and there. Last weekend we had gone to the Renessaince Festival, I had picked up a few things for my kids. All I got left is my nieces and nephew. The things I know they want, is all at the hobby store. They are always having sales, so I got lucky there. :)

We have been saving up for a trip to Italy. We should be able to go the summer of 2014. In the past, we have bought appliances. We were lucky that when we got married, we were given a fabulous mattress. Then my in-laws bought a mattress, used it about 3 months and then moved. They bought everything new when they moved so we go the "used" really expensive mattress. I will hate having to actually spend our own money on a bed. I think we still have a few years on the one we currently have, and will probably get more out of it, if we actually remember to flip and turn it like we are supposed to do.

I am not the kind of person that is sweet even in times of special days but I do some effort to let my loved feels all the more that I love them. My wife is good when it comes to giving gifts, even before Christmas time, she busy herself wrapping small gifts for the people she loves.

Wow! That is wonderful...i am sure you will enjoy your lovely comfortable bed starting the next weekend. Having a good bed surely will be able to sleep well. However, waking up would be a problem because the bed is too comfortable and cozy. Hehe... Hope you both do enjoy your new bed! =) As for myself, yes, we do buy things for each other sometimes, but most of the time, my husband buys me things. Hehe..
