Everything is Possible

We are created equal and we live in the same world. We are given equal opportunities and it is how we make use of those opportunities and resources available for us in order to reach our goals in life. Prior to my present job, I work in the cooperative for several years and before that I worked in a small appliance store in our place which happens to be the same place as my present work. I know that the people who are working in the government and other offices would see somebody who have that particular kind of work as a lower type and I know it. So after undergoing several steps, I was able to get a job in the government, and not a ordinary employee but an officer. One day, one of the employees in another agency went to our office looking for one of my office mates. I smiled at her but she looked at me in a way that she is trying to convince herself that I am not the same person that she knows. So to end her confusion, I approached her and asked her how she was doing. Now she was convinced that I am the same person in the appliance store. "I can't believe it!" She exclaimed. "This is impossible" I just smiled at her and said, Everything is possible in this world. How about you my dear friends, have you encountered such a situation where your friends could not believe that you can really do it? Please share. Have a nice day!

Just as the old saying"Every dog has its day.""Never judge a man who has made great progress by past tense." Thing changes, people changes, nothing will just stay in the same place,we all move on and make progress day by day. By the way congratulations,my friend, you had made a big progress, and I wish I will encounter the similar situation as yours someday.

There are people around me thinks that I could not do anything good. They put me down, they may not do irdirectly, but I would feel that they simply have no confidence in my ability.

Thanks, ARIES! Actually I have learned to fight back. It has been a long time since they have enjoyed themselves in seeing me feeling down because of their doing. I know now how to stand up for myself. Well, I don't think I gained any praises from them coz they think I have become sort of ungrateful for showing the real me, but nevertheless, I have relayed to them my message- that I am not who they think they are and not the person whom they think I am not capable of doing certain things. Now, whether they would love me or hate me, it doesn't matter. It's their problem, not mine!

Hi jenny! The very first person who should have confidence on us is ourselves. How could we convince others to trust us if we don't trust our own abilities? Actually, I received different negative comments but I just ignore those things. For as long as I am doing the right thing, I don't need to explain anything to them. If people would try to put you down, prove them wrong. Have a nice day!

I do believe every thing is possible in the environment we live in...is up to the individual to make it happen I have been belittled a few times in my life[ specially when I was young]by older people and some family members but I got over that because I knew I could!. I had a supervisor at my job and one day she said to me" you know no one though I could make it" and I said why not? you have good skills and you do your job very well...and she said I was told I was too fat to amount to any thing!...really? but you know what she made them wrong she got to the position she wanted after all...I admire her because she proved[ despite of size or age]that every thing is possible.

Hi friend! It's a very good thing that you have shared to us an inspiring story like this. You know i always believe that everyone of us were given our own skills and abilities and it's just up to us to discover and develop those things for our benefit. Thank you for sharing!

"Eveything is possible", that's what most of the people believe. Some were just taking it for granted and say "who cares, I can't do it, its too stressful". So negative thinking and too lazy. Some were afraid taking the opportunity. So many "what ifs" ... like "what if I can't make it", "what if I will just make my boss disappointed, I'd rather stay where I am right now than putting myself to shame." Honestly, I was like that. Having negative thoughts. It all started when my relatives always comparing me to my brothers and sisters. But, I realized that each one of us has its own strength and weaknesses. So damn them, I believe in myself. I believe I can be somebody with my own strength. Weaknesses is not really a bad thing. Without it you can't be strong. Through your weakness, you will learn to strive hard to the top and aim high. And to my dearest friends who is on the same situation as what I was before, don't listen to those people who always compares. make them as your inspiration to accomplish your goals. Let them realize that whatever they do, you will always win. God is always be at your side. Always pray and no one can destroy you. Just always be positive and believe in yourself.

Hi friend! I am glad to know that you were able to realize things early. Sometimes, we are being affected by what other people tell us or think of us. I also experience that from my mother when I was younger. I prove her wrong, now I know she is already proud of me. I know this from her co-teachers. There are no other people who can run our life perfectly but ourselves. Have a nice day and thank you for sharing!

Hi manoj! What you said is right and if we will only increase our efforts in doing what is right in relation to our goals, there is always a great possibility of achieving those. Similarly, positive thoughts is also one good thing to consider as there is a saying that those things that we have are attracted by us. So having a positive thought will surely attract positive result. Thank you for sharing!

We cannot avoid people in the world who belittle our skills and capacities to do something. They tend to judge us. Other people think that you have a backer or your job was done through under the table. It's been a practice here in our country that is why a lot of people don't succeed. Most the Filipinos practice crab mentally. One of the best example of this is when one of your neighbors establish or put up a store in your area, another neighbor put another store that is why most of us don't succeed.

Hi rberon! I also experienced being asked who was my backer. And I feel so sad about it. But anyway I made a reply, I said it's JC. Of course my response made him more curious and asked me who was JC. So I told him, you don't know JC? Jesus Christ. But I know there are only a few of them. I'm still sure that many of us are still supportive of each other. Thank you for sharing!

To me the word "impossible" is just another way to say that one person has not found a way to do something. Therefore, if one person has not found a way to do something, than it must be other people cannot find a way to do something. It is really frustrating to see people just tear down something to be impossible. Just because it is out of their capabilities. I just consider many things to be rather hard, but to say it is impossible would be limiting our imaginations, and what we are capable. The sky is the limit, and the outer reaches of our imagination could lead to some great things. Just reach for the stars, and hopefully get some great things. Never consider anything to be impossible, because it will limit what you can do.

Hi megamatt! For me, it's a blessing to have a job. At one point, I also understand why other people were surprised when they see others attain something greater than they thought. That was not the only instance that I encounter such situation. You are right, some things maybe hard but not impossible at all. I like that phrase! Have a nice day!

I agree with you, anything is possible. It's up to us on how we deal and seize the opportunities presented. Were all given a chance, it's up to us to make or break it. My own story goes something like a typical girl who's always on scholarships. My parents married young, unprepared, but instead of being supported they're being put down by their own relatives. My mom went to continue to school to earn her degree while she's pregnant. Imagine all the gossips and harsh words she gets but she just shrugs and go on. She finally graduated is now a master teacher in a pilot public school. She's now up for another promotion as a principal after she finishes her thesis. Those who belittled her, well, let's just say they can't face my mom now. As for me, I had it bad. I was a nerd, wore hand me downs, ugly, the works. Now, I'm a CPA, with a good career, happily married to an engineer, and I'm living a life that is a far cry from what we were. I never let the negativity go to heart though, if anything, I think I owe those people who belittled me and told me I will amount to nothing because they made me stronger and to persevere more. Instead of taking it to heart, I see every taunts and jeers as another opportunity to better myself. These people also helped ,e to strengthen my faith to the big guy up there. They taught me to call on to Him for His help and guidance. Of course I admit that I can't be nice to them if ever I see them again, I can be civil and polite but that's just about it.

Oh Raine! Why did you make me cry? My mother experience the same thing. She married at a very young age and my father left us. I still remember the time when we just have nothing to eat she accepted a job to harvest rice from an owner of a rice field. in return part of it will be given to her as a payment. But of course she is also a public teacher now. She will be retiring next year. Well, that story belongs to the past. I'm happy with my career and family life. And this kind of life that I have before made me humble at all times. Have a nice day!

Awww, man! I'm sorry! But you're right, it's all in the past now and those experiences helped us move forward to better ourselves and to be better persons, I believe. I know that our hardships in life isn't far from over, but at least, we have overcome so much that we are no longer that scared. Have a nice Monday to you too!

I'm glad to hear of your success. I've been an internet marketer for many years now and I have been lucky enough to make decent money. My relatives are mostly doctors and lawyers and they look down on my success until I bought a nice house and pass out some expensive gifts to the children in my family on different occasions. I'm not rich by a long shot but I'm constantly moving up by doing both small things and big ones. Keep looking up even if someone is looking down at you!

Hi today! Wow! I really feel glad and inspire whenever I came across of a success story online. I am here for several months and I admit it I am still struggling to earn a considerable amount. Although I know that one reason on my part is that I don't have enough time because of my permanent occupation. Can you share how you do it? Maybe you can start a discussion about it. I will look forward to it. Back to our main topic, actually even my mother that time, when I was just applying for the job, is not so sure of what I am doing. We do not know anybody in the government so she was hesitant. But I just said that I will just do my best and how will I know the result if I will not try it. Now my mother is so proud of me because of my achievement. Thank you for sharing your story with us!

Yes, one good example was that apparently everyone at work thought that I wouldn't get this promotion.(in order to be promoted you have to pass a test) When the test results came out I was in the top 4% of the people who had tested. Everyone was so surprised and shocked I was the only one who passed the promotion test. I'm actually very intelligent however apparently my co workers were unaware of this. I also remember other people who failed this test acting jealous rather then happy for my accomplishment.

We cannot avoid people who are judgmental- they are everywhere. I agree that everything is possible if we only believe and never stops from dreaming to achieve our goal in this life. I meet someone who inspired me to do other things and try to improve my skill. I am very grateful to that someone and I am so lucky to have him in my life.

Hi! There are lots of opportunities for everybody in order for each of us to achieve our goals. Recently I found some plausible opportunities on the internet that anyone without experiences can do it. It's a matter of attitude and determination because everything can be achieved by God grace ofcource. Thanks for posting this.

That would be a nice input jdalaqui. Perhaps you could share more about it. You know, sharing what we learned through experience is like sharing a blessing. Personally, I always share to my friends whenever I found something that could help us in one way or another. Like online opportunities, I never failed to inform them the benefits of working online. Although among the tons of invitations I distributed in whatever way available, only some would appreciate it. Nevertheless, still the motive to help is there and that is the important thing. Thank you for sharing!
