food and family overload

oh my the we had so much food over the weekend lol it was my birthday, my cousin and my nephew's! we had it as one celebration over at grandma's house. We had the kids over and had a little halloween party for them with candies too.
i made this chocolate fountain and used white chocolate and put color red in it to make it look like blood! lol since there were three of us celebrating my cousin baked three cakes for us.. it was a blast as my little boys and my daughter had so much fun.. and me and my cousins were able to talk after a long long time.. it was also a reunion of some sorts!

Well, from what I could understand in your discussion, it would seem that you, of all people, have had a big meal of food, especially of sweet cakes, candy, etc..
Well I suppose you spent happy times, important is the fact that children have a lot of fun in this party.
Then, birthday parties always bring a joy for the whole family, and relatives are invited.
Then add the fact that you, people of the States have the Halloween party as a ritual. Lately it is celebrated a little too in Italy (my country), but here it is much less felt than your part.

well halloween has been commercialized the past few years now.. so it is happening almost anywhere.

Belated happy birthday. I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday celebrations. I think these special occasions are really some sort of mini reunion. We also do triple celebration for my father and 2 younger brothers on July and all of us are present even my grand mothers are there. These times are one of the best and memorable events of our family yearly.

hi,
yes when it comes to food it always overload in the house,but when it comes to family actually we are only the family in the house,my parents,my sibling and there child that's it,actually this is usually happen during Family day on Sunday and when there is a birthday celebration.

It sounded like you enjoyed the family gathering back then. Family gathering can be so much fun especially when you are celebrating some occasion during the day. Relatives get together and actually share and socialize with one another. at the same time having to prepare various dishes and enjoy them together while watching the kids running and playing around. Those are sure moments that can be memorable all the time.
