has anyone heard of efavirenz? it's a drug for people infected with HIV. efavirenz is a very good drug against the retrovirus that causes HIV/AID but it has been shown to cause brain damage. i believe anyone watching the health news must have heard of this! i was wondering, what options would a doctor consider faced with a drug of this sort? would he go ahead and prescribe efavirenz, and risk brain damage for his patient? else, what course of action or alternative action are available for our professional doctors.
