Since I have some gray hair, so finally I decided to dye my hair. However, there are so many colors available and it was too difficult for me to choose. Especially its sample hair couldn't give me some ideas since it was not so correct and it's not even real hair. Finally I chose "soft-black" but later my colleagues knew it and said I should choose "hazel black" so that it would look natural. I didn't want to waste and last night I had my hair dyed and fortunately the color was fine I was so worried that my hair will look like wig after dying it

You are brave dying your own hair! I have only dyed my hair when I have gone to a hairdressers, although having said that the first time I had my hair bleached blonde it turned into orangey blonde and it was awful! I have this obsession with blonde hair up until I was about four I had beautiful blonde hair then it went brown! In my thirties I would continually get it highlighted, I never went for full blonde just in case. Now I have gray hairs but I let them grow gracefully.

I didn't dye my own hair. I went to the hair salon to let the hair dresser do it for me because I knew I could make it in a mess

I had lots of grey coming in too so I recently dyed my hair also. It is now dark purple and it looks like my hair dyed purple. It's great! I have some fine blonde streaks too. My hair is normally dark brown and it's long as well. I love my hair this colour but not sure what to do when it grows out. I think I will have it cut short and go for a different colour. It's such fun.

It all depends on how you'd like to look, right? Since you opted for more natural-looking hair, the hairdresser would have been able to help you select the right/closest-to- right shade for you. I know young people love to try out unnatural shades, i.e. blues, pinks, green, orange. Cool for them, but not for us oldies. ;)

Maybe you can change the color after if you are not satisfied with the outcome right? Anyway, I wish the color fits your taste and won't give you a fake look or a wig outcome.

Yes, I can change the color, but at least after half a year later. Since it is still the chemical stuff and I don't want to use it quite often.

Well, girls care about their appearance including hair. I know many ladies who change their hair into various colour. Yet I heard that it was unhealthy to dye one's hair. 'cause all dying substance is chemical and harmful to our bodies. So you should think twice before changing your hair.

When choosing a hair color I always try to pick something that will look natural with my skin tone. Also I'm not sure how old you are however several of my relatives who are a little older and dye their hair say as you get older to choose a lighter color. I think it might depend on the person a little but in general I'd agree with that. I've seen many senior citizens who dye their hair various shades of dark brown and it doesn't look quite right for whatever reason.

The color samples are a lot and I really have no idea how it will be after dying my hair. The result can be different from the sample.

Hello youless. Hazel black is a nice and beautiful color. If you like it, why not choose it for a change? You know, ladies can choose any color for their hair. If you have chosen the suitable one for your hair, it must be good-looking. Enjoy your life.

I had my hair almost black when I was young and decided I`d get a similar colour when I started to dye it. Yet the dyed black has nothing to do with a natural colour. I looked older and it wasn`t becoming. I had to choose a brown. It took me a while to discover the exact shade I liked.

The hair dresser suggested me to try hazel black next time as it will be very natural.

Well, one thing color that you should avoid is dying your hair black coz it would really look "fake". People have this thing on their head that hen they see people with deep black hair, is that the hair must be all grey. Unlike dying your hair with a tinge of color in the shade of brown or red, people would think that you are blending in with the latest hair fashion. And that, doesn't make you look old.

But the color I dyed right now is fine. Especially my hair is very smooth after that and it is not that black.
