Good afternoon people. I am back. This time, here at the cemetery. Its for real, I do mylot here in the cemetery. We used to go to the cemetery during all saints and all souls day. Part of the tradition and culture that our elders do every time this ocassions is around. Offer prayers, light candles and pay respect to them during these day. Showing respect and love to them through prayers and visiting them in their tomb. We brought some foods too since food stores are in the entrance of the cemetery. My network provider's signal is really strong and okay, so here I am, reading discussions and participating into some posts. How great technology really is, as long as we used it responsibly and in more productive way. Have you been in mylot in an odd places? In cemetery like me. How's your day so far? Where are you now? Have great day ahead of us.....

Oh well, yesterday I want to come online while at the hospital with one mylotter whose mother was confined. But since other mylotters came and treated us for lunch and we chatted like we haven't seen each other for a year- no chance to log in then. Well, we can always mylot anywhere as long as there's internet connection. Good luck- maybe you can recruit more for referrals- just kidding

I did it today too! I responded to several comments on the discussion I started today. But I limited myself to that to focus on honoring my departed loved ones. And I had to conserve my iPhone's battery because I did not bring the charger and I spent the whole day in the cemetery.

Well I didn't forgot my purpose of going there. Before posting this, together with the elders we were done praying some prayers for our loved ones who passed away. My cousins were a bit late so decided to be here while waiting for them. More productive than just sitting and waiting. We just spend eight hours there and planning to go back tomorrow since it is still holiday.

Doesn't it defeat the purpose of you being there if you're going to spend your time doing mylot? Anyhow, I will be going to the cemetery tomorrow evening with my family. We always do that during this time of year and we'll be there to do the same and bond with our other relatives and of course to pray. I wouldn't be bringing any gadget because it's too risky for the eyes of robbers and thieves. Further, I'm there to do my obligation to my elders. There's always a time and place for everything. But I guess the oddest place I did mylot was infront of class while the students were taking their exams and I was the proctor. I used my smartphone for that and though it was fun, I can't help but miss the real keyboard instead of the touch screen. I won't be doing that again. :) Have a great mylot experience ahead!

Well after praying some prayers for our beloved family who passed away. Expected that elders did chatted with each others. Since I was just the only one at my age that time, I just kept myself occupied using my cellphone when I create this post than staring at candles and people around the cemetery. More productive than sitting while waiting.

Whoah! Now that's what I call a very dedicated mylotter. but then I have to admit that you're not the only one who has checked, browsed or even participated in mylot discussion while being in an odd place. One time, I mylotted while waitin in a hospital's emergency room. Nope, none of us were here for very serious reasons, thank God, but I was just there because my kid brither's doctor's shift was there when he was available from a follow up check up during a school day. Like I said in another of your discussion, I was at home babysitting my younger siblings and cousins while the rest of them went to the cemetery. I don't mind, they're all well-behaved as long as there's movies and they have an endless supply of popcorn.

I guess, maybe. Well great way to spend spare time while waiting for my cousins to arrive since I was with the elders. More productive way to wait than just sitting and looking around the cemetery or just looking at the candles till it melt. My cousin just arrived in due time so just get back here just at this moment.

Frankly, if you go to the cemetery to pay respect, then what are you doing on the internet? That's not paying respect but just going there because others expect you to do that. Sorry, but that's how i feel about it.

If I may add, going to cemetery means a little reunion with friends and relatives too. After we had done our prayers, each one of us needs a little thing to ease boredom or we just need to do something. By the way guys, it is a Philippine tradition for us to be at cemetery on Nov 1

Its okay, you dont to be sorry cause it what you feel about it. We are done praying. Praying some prayers that we used to pray every now and then. Continues prayers that lasted for more than an hour. We are spending more than eight hours in the cemetery. Lightning candles while staying with our families for hours to be with our beloved family members who passesd away.

We do have wide space since we have a big family. Elders usually are the one who come over early so i accompanied them to assist them with some kids that dont wanted to be left behind. Being alone at my age, I just accompanied with my cellphone after praying some prayers for our love ones.

What a cool tradition. May I ask what the religion is or is it just a part of your culture? My family did not do that and while I do think it is very cool, I have to say that after a time, I'd need something to occupy me too. Glad you had your cellphone and were able to Mylot!

I have been here from the airport, the hospital (when I was a patient) and when my mother was sleeping, from the carehome where she stayed in her last months. Here in Italy too it is a ritual to visit cemetaries at the beginning of this month. I don't follow this tradition though and prefer to go at other times when there is less going on and it is as I feel that it should be there, quiet and peaceful. I would not be on myLot from there though as when I am there I tend to the grave of whichever loved one I am visiting and my thoughts go back over memories of times when we together. I am at home today, surrounded by damp fog, which appears to be the usual weather for the first week-end in Novemeber every single year

"... instead of just staring at the candles to melt." You have absolutely no idea of how many memories and thoughts that phrase brought to mind. I just wish they would bring a smile instead of tears but I guess it is still too soon

Well just took the chance since I was waiting for my cousins of my age when I posted this. Elders were busy chatting with each other about things that I cant really relate too. Maybe I used to be in work so I dong know their topics. Kid were playing since our place is quite wide cause we really have a big family. While waiting for my cousins, mylot was a great company instead of just staring at the candles to melt.

Yes, staring with those candles to melt bring back memories to me too that might tend my tears to fall so I just diverted myself here to avoid some sad memories that I am having a hard time to deal with and to forget.

I guess my feeling on this is like the others who have asked if you are there to be with your family, why be on myLot? It just seems to defeat the purpose of what is a special family time. I know you spend several hours there, it is a practice where I live also, but I think you have an opportunity for quality time, that is unless you are not that close to your family members.

Well, when you put it that way, lol. Are you sure you didn't deliberately mislead us in order for everyone to ask why you were myLotting from the cemetery so you could tell us you were waiting for others to arrive?

Well it that what you see my post, its okay with me. I do have a close relationship with my family and relatives. I just dropped here to post this discussion/read some discussion just to kill the boredom of waiting for my cousins to arrive since we are done with prayers together with the elders.Elders do have their own business to talk to that I can't relate to.My cousin of my age used to arrive late, so instead of staring and looking people around the cemetery or play games in my phone while waiting for them, I thought being in mylot was more productive somehow.

Ardoy, You already! You should take your day off sometimes here and enjoy what the offline world has to offer. Also, these days are somewhat mini reunions for your whole family enjoy it while you still can. Do take care because cemetery sometimes are really very crowded and thieves for sure are all over the place. I've never been to any odd places to do Mylot, I try my best not to caught the eyes of the thieves because it's hard to buy cellphones now a days that could do multitasks.

Glad to know you had the time with your family. I can't have that same quality time so I am a bit jelly here . Anyway, I will have my day off tomorrow and hopefully I will be going to the church to offer a mass for all my relatives who has already passed and light a candle since I can't visit their graveyards. Enjoy your long vacation

Kids were playing as expected so while waiting for my cousins who are at my age too, I just took a glimpse here to take away boredom of waiting. Now I am at home and will go back to the cemetery since it still holiday tomorrow.

You are a certified myLotter!!! :) You seemed can't get enough of this site huh? Hehe. So much like most of us who like this site. Mylot is one of the sites that I regularly check. I don't do mobile internet much but if I can, ofcourse, I open this site anywhere that I am. It is already past 7pm here. I went to my grandparents cemetery earlier and will go to my inlaws later. I'm just waiting for my husband to pick me up. So while waiting, I log in here. :) I would like to share something. I met this site through an online acquaintance. First thing comes to my mind is cemetery. Maybe because of the "lot" word. Lol

Waiting for my cousins at my age, well mylot did accompanied me to ease boredom, since the signal was good. After prayers, we already lighten up some candles then elders did talked with each others. Since I am always at work duing weekdays, I cant really relate to them. I send tet message to my cousins about their location and replied that they were already on the way. So better be here while waiting for them.

I like the idea of how many countries celebrate All Saints Day. I wonder why it never caught on in America. Anyways I'm glad you're having a good time and remembering your loved ones. I'm also very surprised you were able to find a wifi hot spot in a cemetery lol.

Posting back in myLot from the cemetary. Quite an interesting place to post back from. I know I have probably finished a post from the bathroom before, but nothing this crazy. But I guess no matter when the urge to myLot hits someone they will find time, especially from their phone to come here and post and update a little on where their life is at.
