How to increase traffic on blog?

Recently I made a blog from google blogspot service and I use it for sharing information regarding latest technology and updates. Then when I want to join the google adsense service for earning a descent money from my blog, google rejects my first approval and reply me that your website or blog must be six months earlier and must have good traffic from all over the world. Then I came to know that my blog doesnt bear much higher traffic inspite of good quality content related to technology.So,I wanted to know that what are the methods of increasing traffic to a specific website or a blog which is somehow three to four months old.

There is a lot of ways to getting higher traffic, doing social media is one big help to get traffic , maybe you can try also what i am doing my website i put a live chat name Chatwing i love this because they have lots of features that offered to help get traffic to your site, like using facebook and twitter account to log in on the chatbox, also they have a full control in admin you can prevent spamming.
