Sherpard's pie

Good Morning myLotters!
For the first time I decided to make Shepard's pie I was a little nervous at first but it turned out fantastic my husband even had seconds for dinner! SCOOOORRREEE!
I used homeade Southwest mashed potatoes, ground beef,a variety of veggies and cheese.
Just wanted to fill you guys in!

I've only made Shepherds Pie once and that time was not by following a recipe. I just made a nice thick beef stew and topped it with mashed potatoes and stuck it in the oven. It was so good. Sometime I might try to actually use a recipe.

I love shepherd`s pie. I use fried diced onions, garlic and ground meat. I add bits of hard boiled eggs and black olives. No other veggies for me. This was one of the first dishes that I learned to cook. It`s not that difficult yet it is fantastic, as you say. I bought later on some earthwenware dishes to make individual portions

Sounds great to me! I should invite myself to dinner with you! haha...just kidding! I never made a shepherds pie with southwest mashed potatoes, sounds tasty though!
Every time I take my daughter to KFC, she wants the mashed potato bowl, which reminds me, kind of, of shepherds pie.
