A Decent Burial for our Pets

Most people have pets in their houses. They are dogs, cats, turtles,, goldfish, birds, etc. They are our best friends and they are just like members of our family. However, mortal as man, our pets would pass away too. They have life span too. Some died of old age and some had sicknesses. If they reach this stage, normally, we are unhappy. Recently, I've just read that there is a graveyard for pets in our place. It is in Silang, Cavite, Philippines. It is about 5,000 hectares wide. The pets were given a decent burial and they were given names such as "hyper," "funny," "faithful," bestfriends." There is a view deck too and souvenirs from the lost pets. There were about 100 animals buried in the graveyard already. I think this is good. We can show our love and gratitude to our pets by giving them a decent burial. What is your opinion about this?

I agree, we should show respect in this way, as they are really close to us. I am glad some one thought this way. The names are also interesting. They deserve the decent burial.

I like the idea of having our own pet cemetery. And I agree, pets are already part of our family. They may not be able to speak up but I am sure that in their own ways they can show us their love and devotion to us whenever they feel that we love them and they are in good hands. I even read stories on how people would leave their pets with inheritance more than their own family because only the pet showed them the love that they need and the companionship that they crave. I believe that our pets are here to teach us lessons, and to ease our loneliness. If nurtured very well, we will have their loyalty until their last breath.

Thanks for all your responses. You have all good points. I do agree that we have to take care of them and give them decent burials. They have given us love and they are faithful to us and at times make us happy. That is their purpose on earth so we must love them in return. Have a nice day!

A graveyard for pets is a good idea for pet owners that live in apartments, in big cities. It feels good to know your pet's body rests in a quiet, decent place. But for people who have a backyard, a pet cemetery must seem useless. At least I wouldn't take the remains of my dog to a cemetery, instead of burying them in my backyard.

Hello, We all love our pets no matter their appearance and sometimes their behave. I admit that they are our best friends. But the problem they are no gods and they die too, leaving a hole in our hearts forever, like every people passed, which we loved. There are pet's graveyard for pets in Lithuania too.But i Don't think I'll ever visit here, because I would rather bury my pet in my Yard, It's where we had fun, where we had happy moments, where he and i loved him. Also because i could come everyday and pray for my pet. Happy myLotting!

I believe its nice if you can afford to put your pet in a graveyard just like a person however most cannot. Especially the way the economy sadly. When I lost my childhood pet we buried him under a tree in my grandparents back yard. To me that was also very respectful. My grandparents have a beautiful back yard and my beloved pet will be near his family who loves him.

I approve of this. Even animals, especially our pets, deserve the respect through a decent burial. We shouldn't just let them rot and be forgotten during their demise. You're place is very lucky to have this graveyard.

I also feel that we should give our pets a decent burial when they die. And this pet cemetery is a great idea for pet lovers. But I guess these are for those who can afford it. Purchasing a small lot for burying your pet can still be expensive. I don't think many pet owners can squeeze that into their budget. Land is becoming scarce already, what with our growing population. Even public cemeteries are now too crowded, forcing some to reuse some graves already. I love my pets, but I love my relatives and friends more. I'd rather we reserve the already dwindling land space to them than to our pets. Personally, I'd opt for cremation instead.
