Why poor people always poor?

rubyroy: I believe that people often do become and remain poor because of their folly and foolishness.If I understand you correctly, You blame the lack of the Lord's mercy and grace for your downfall from wealth, but then you say that it is your own fault because you were prideful in thinking that you obtained wealth because of your own efforts. I do not believe we can rightly blame God for our hardships, especially when we know we have disobeyed Him. I do not know if your fall from wealth was a punishment from God, but I have to think that if it was, then the reason for such harsh punishment was your pride and ingratitude. I will pray that things will get better for you. I will pray with you that God will ease the burdens of the poor, and I will continue to share what I have with those in need.

well done rubyroy, there are people in my country deedee328 that were getting by on the money they earned, but the cost of household gas and electricity bills, and food has gone up massively, and now they can't manage very well. is that because of their thinking?

Dear friend you had god's abundance grace to make your work fruitful and He has given the grace to you to enjoy the fruits of your hard work.The strength and will power you enjoyed was because of his mercy,so thank him for his grace.There are many who worked hard,but still are not able to reach anywhere.They work day and night for their children,but when their children reaches a position because of their hard work, they quickly forget the hard work of their parents to bring them up.Thus they are not enjoying any benefit of their hard work.

That's true, we should work hard by ourselves, should not just depend on what our parents give us,then we would not cherish the fruit God give us.

The opportunity out there for poor people is not that many compare to the rich and wealthy person, only very few poor people are fortunate enough to move ahead in this unequal world mainly control by the very rich and well connected individual. Those manage to make it in their life to get off poverty and becoming rich have to be truly blessed by the all mighthy God. Without that, they stand no chance at all to lift themselves out of the condition they are born into.

That is a very interesting assumption and you would likely be right, since we by human nature would be a little bit lazy - to save on the energy for vintertimes in the caves - so no reason to work extra if it isnt needed. (this would more go to collecting wood and food)

Cutie: With all due respect,I have to disagree with you. I do not believe luck has much to do with one's socioeconomic status. It is true that people are poor due to circumstances that sometimes are beyond their control. However, many people continue to be poor because they are lacking in ambition, education, or desire to do better. I know many people who are content to sit on their duffs and collect welfare because they are simply too lazy to go get a job that would provide better income for them. There are several generations of the same family who have been raised on welfare because no one has taught their children a work ethic. People are also poor because they have not yet found someone to lend them a helping hand. Some people remain poor because they have their priorities out of line. Gretchen: Poverty is inherited but that does not mean one has to accept it. There are ways out of it if one is willing and determined to have better. I, like several others who have posted here believe that the notion of being poor is in the mind. One has to have a desire to have better if one is to succeed in this life.

Also the main fact of life we cant all be rich , that is how the balance of life intended . Its not because they dont want to be rich its just the way life intend to balance out things . If we were all rich who would work in the factory , deliver your pizza , collect your garbage . I dont think there is nothing much wee can do to stop things like those . Its impossible for everyone to be rich and get treated equal , that is just a fantasy. Just like everything else in life , some rich people are miserable and lonely while some poor people are truly happy and bless with love . Life is not all about money , a lot of factor influence certain outcome. There are some people that are poor because they choose to have a family and love over money. End of the day we cannot have it all

Sindelle: I agree that there are some people who do not know how to beging to get out of a bad situation. There are far too many programs out there now days to give aid to those who are willing to put in the effort to search for help to fund education. There are also many social organizations that will provide training on how to conduct yourself at job interview, and they also will outfit you appropriately so that you will be presentable to a prospective employer. I also think that a lot of people would be impressed to find someone who is truly willing to work for an honest wage.
